Chipolopolo midfielder Rainford Kalaba is back in action after recovering from a calf injury that sidelined him for almost two months.
Kalaba on Saturday featured for his DR Congo club TP Mazembe in their 3-0 win over Morroco’s FUS Rabat in a CAF Confederation Cup match in Lubumbashi.
He made the starting line up in the match Mazembe won thanks to goals from Mbwana Samatta, Solomon Asante and Cheibane Traore.
Prior to this Confederation Cup match, Kalaba had not played a game since sustaining the calf injury in May while playing for Mazembe.
The talented midfielder missed Zambia’s June back-to-back 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Sudan in Ndola.
Kalaba’s recovery comes as good news for Zambia ahead of their must win 2014 World Cup qualifier against Ghana on September 6 away in Kumasi.
Herve Renard’s team must beat Group D leaders Ghana to advance to the two legged play offs.
Blah, blah, blah,…. whatever! A draw in Lesotho and a draw AT LEVY STADIUM against SUDAN and u want me to have hope? Piss OFF!!!!
hopeless you……
My hope is in the new team we are building. If I had a way ?I’d rather they play in Kumasi.
lets HOPE he will be the redeemer in kumasi otherwise we really have a mountain to climb. what with our tactless coach.
lets just HOPE, HOPE, HOPE…..
have u heard about “f a v o u r “?
Dream on people let us be realistic we can’t beat Ghana at there home ground
You’re doomed if u cant dream in this world! This is where HOPE lies. Hopelessness is a friend of those who avoid daily dreams.
@ muluzi,@ mature and @ waluma cobra, you are non zambians i would suggest you continue building castles in the air than pretend to be zambians. Chipolopolo 4 life…
Hopeless pipo! Are Ghanians not pipo? They are, as such we shall BUTCHER dem in their backyard.Boys don’t listen to negative pipo like above. Tactless coach ,but he keeps on winning and bringing trophies here. Are u normal when u say he is tactless?
LET CHIPOLOPOLO RISE & DEMOLISH ALL AFRICAN TEAMS AND THE WORLD. YES WE CAN DO IT !GO,GO BOYS! TULEBA DUFULA WITH OUR OWN COPPER BULLETS. I LOVE U BOYS.
Can you imagine us at the world cup, no way. So Kumasi match is not in our favor.
Renard is a unique coach. he is a genius. People say he is tactless because they cant understand his game and he has helped him bring trophies back home. The guy is a nightmare for other coaches.
@muluzi what a cocck, you forget that we won the african champion not in zmbia but away and beat all other teams,so what can make us not win a single game away ?dichead
0 de Goliaths fro de west teamed against upde young Davide in de afcon who conquared dem 0. Wat about 1 Goliath ?We shall butcher dem !Baiche a kabukaka sana ngamwaya. Have yo shoulders high nd make sure u frustrate dem badly. Kukakata baiche okey!
Its ok to dream but a win in Kumasi needs hardwork!
Keep on dreaming Ghana is a no go area as far as winning them in kumasi is concerned as much as i can tell Ghana never to win us in Ndola at levy
we blew our chances in Lesotho & at Levy (lost 4 easy points)! let us just concentrate on the 2018 world cup
Ghana will be defeated and if u think they are hard enough then will be a draw go zambia go lets show them how we bounce abanyamata bakatambe
