PRESIDENT Sata will soon embark on a special tour of all the 10 provinces of Zambia in order to renew his development commitment to Zambians and update himself on on-going projects.

The planned ‘marathon’ tour has been announced by Minister of Defence Geoffrey Mwamba, who said President Sata wants Zambians to know that he has not forgotten about them as his Government continues to implement projects such as roads, universities and stadiums country-wide as per election promise.

Mr Mwamba was speaking after mass at Saint John’s Cathedral Catholic Church in Kasama over the weekend.

Mr Mwamba, who is Kasama Central Member of Parliament (MP), said President Sata’s administration is grateful for the patience and support Zambians have demonstrated towards Government.

The minister said President Sata has had engagements to ensure the Patriotic Front administration positions itself to effectively develop the country.

“President Sata has a duty to preside over the affairs of the country, so when you see me it means he has sent me to see you on his behalf.

“President Sata has not forsaken you and this is why you see me visiting frequently to explain what Government is doing and to listen to your needs, which I also present in Lusaka as your MP,” Mr Mwamba said.

Mr Mwamba assured the people of Kasama that Government will continue supplementing their efforts in farming through agricultural inputs.

He said graders will soon be purchased using Constituency Development Funds to improve road network in the area.

Mr Mwamba, who is touring his constituency, said Kasama will also benefit from health posts which are being constructed throughout the country.

He also urged communities in the constituency to initiate pre-schools to enhance child education.

  1. Hahaha, thats funny ati “development commitment” which is an alien concept to PF opportunists.I thought he only tours where there’s by elections.

    • GBM is saying Sata will visit all provinces, while Kabimba says Provincial PF leadership will be dissolved, so who will receive Sata?
      GBM for president!!

    • Who is supposed to issue statements in PF. Kamimba says this, GBM that, former ZCTU fellow that, LUngu ECZ, hahahah We are tired of these uncoordinated statements. Are in spasms or convulsions.

    • Are you that dull my friend?

I am actually campaigning for myself here. Please vote for me when that time comes. I intend to use the corpse to grab a sympathy vote so watch this space.

  2. “The President to tour all 10 provinces” How possible is that when he cannot even complete a sentence at a given function. Why bring about presidential campaigns are you telling us that this bed ridden president is no more?

    • we mbawe uli chipuba chalikukalipa fye pantu PF ia ruling whether sata is sick his far much better than HH who papisha ingombe

    • You must understand that God has a way of getting rid of evil. He gave Ukwa the presidency so that he can enjoy it in pain

    • And when Ukwa is gone PF will be no more… so enjoy it while it lasts. No lie can live forever

    • God created people to choose between bad and good. Why would someone prefer or choose to witness death than life. Only evil people would wish death on anyone whether they are PF or not. God forgive you “TheEngineer(Australia)”

  3. gbm i thought you are civil and mature now i can see that you are all the same, please shut your mouth and count your days, you guys hardly think about ordinary people, governments look after its people and not vice versa with you, worse of all even in your tone has no trace of humanity all you think is about yourselves,i blame banda for his selfishness you guys would have been nowhere.

  4. i do not wish to be prophetic here, but does anyone remember the ill-fated ‘this is it’ tour Michael Jackson was planning before his timely demise? I think madame Kaseba, you need to come in here,,,,,, don’t be like one former first lady

  5. This will be better than the circus! Just think of all the of people out there waiting to be ridiculed and insulted.

  6. As one blogger rightly put it. RB is to blame for this mess the country is under going for letting a half wit rule Zambia. Defense Minister is now announcing the president’s program. It seems as if every one is doing their own thing and there is no sort of coordination within this government. Anyway I can’t wait for the circus, he has been quiet to avoid it but now there is nowhere to hide.

    • RB is not to blame for this mess. He did his best, he produced bumper harvests, brought in investment and built infrastructure. Opposition parties were allowed to operate freely and the press freedom he allowed was abused by some who painted him as the devil incarnate and stupi.d Zambians believed that a mad man with a penchant for violence, vulgar language, tribalism and fathering illegitimate children, would bring about paradise in 90 days. RB is not to blame for the mess Zambia is in today – gullible Zambians are. It is not as if Chanda Chimba III did not make any documentaries…..

    • I still maintain RB is to blame. If his sons and him where more honest and refrained from corrupt activities Sata and his PF were not going to have a foot to stand on. Sata used RB and family’s corruption to hoodwink Zambians in believing that he will end corruption in Government. That is why the people sort change, that is why he (ukwa) came up with, “I will govern Zambia based on the 10 commandments” malarkey. RB was corrupt, how can a president involve his son who is not even in government handle deals worth millions in the name of Government? We jumped from the frying pan into the fire.

    • It seems there do not know that the press conference does reach more people than the tours, it could be a way of running away from question and answer session. Pls educate them for free, sometimes the best things are free in life.

    • Just imagine using two helicopters one for Sata , the other the young immature Chellah and his spin doctors at the Post. You also include the forward presidential motorcade, the police, the security wings, accommodation and the ministers accompanying him on the ground in their fuel guzzling gov’t jeeps (plus allowances)…. its no wonder there is no money in the treasury. Just last week Chikwanda was preaching to us about being prudent in gov’t spending…there is clearly no cohesion in this gov’t, no leadership, its a sad case of too many executive chefs in the kitchen.
I bet you the next time Sata turns up will be when he swears in the new PS for Transport, then give him a grade 6 style lecture about the lack of road signs on our highways carefully ignoring everything else.

  7. That is AMAPINDA. He means visting all the province in a cooler box. Mean while GBM has stoped people aspiring for the loomin vacancy

  8. By the way Kabimba confirmed that Sata is in London on a private visit. My wonder is why come to London Via Dubai when BA flies directly to London? Something is amiss here. Can anyone out there make sense out of this?

  9. Why announce a so called “special tour” by someone whose job is to manage the whole country and routine tours are expected as part of his job ??!!

  10. Lets get it right; Sata first went to India for treatment; the change in doctors to UK suggests the Indian treatment did not workout and the illness maybe worsening. Direct flight to UK on British Airways is cheaper than thru Dubai. The fact Sata did not book in advance means he had an emergency. The seriousness of Sata’s illness can be seen in the sporadic pronouncements of loyalty by kabimba and mwamba. How long he may stay out can be confirmed from Chikwanda’s acting this time around instead of Lungu.

  11. GBM is an intelligent man who speaks in parables! All he is saying is that the Casket will be taken around all the 10 Provinces!

    • even you advocate, can you name for me the 10th province? either this columnist is real clever and calling you out for being blind or he is a stooge like I know he is.

  12. Rubbish talk, you are an obvious loser, because you only know Kasama to be Zambia, you kolwe proper shut up

  13. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha…………………bakolwe amasuku yapwa mufimuti. whether you hide or not, this year the truth from that sick man we call kateka will come out, and “great bag of maize” GBM keep on polarizing your party with “red lipped snake” kabimba so that when that day comes, it will be a walkover. its only bakonto who still believe in pf

  14. Don’t blame Bwezani for your styupidity. Did he twist your arm to vote for Ukwa? You are the same idyots who were going to the ballot box with your own pens thinking the ECZ pens had ink that jumps. Really! Morons. Rupiah even begged you to vote for HH if you hated him. But No! You thought Ukwa was the saviour. Enjoy him. I pray he doesn’t go anywhere so that you suffer some more @rseholes with the tendency to blame others for own styupidity

  15. All you who speak or speculate Sata`s death, read the Bible on John 5:22…(for the father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the son) Metthew7:1-5 ,I hope it will open your mind set otherwise you speak in vain…

  16. “Sata has a duty to preside over the affairs of the country, so when you see me it means he has sent me to see you on his behalf” GBM PF has forgetten the party first member of parliament from Lupososhi constituency Hon Emmanuel Musonda Mpakanta, its seems this guys has been dumped in one of the paper bins in lusaka. Please him if he committed wrong things and give him a position he saved as opposition MP MMD tried hard to hook him to into the rulling party that time and they failed because he was principled if it was people like miyutu and others would have ditched party. I am praying for him in Jesus name amen! song alleluya alleluya alleluyaaaa

  17. Michael Chilufya Sata was born and brought up in Mpika, Northern Province. He worked as a police officer, railway man and trade unionist during colonial rule. He spent time in London working on the railway sweeping the platforms. Among other things, he was a porter at Victoria railway station.

    • Where’s the rest of his bio?
      Where he went to school
      Who his parents were
      Who are his siblings
Enumerate his wives and their children
      Enumerate his relationships with women
How he gained his political ambition………..

There’s a lot of gaps in his biography. It’s the small things you know about a person that
      Reveals their true character.

    • Chiduku, a few more details on his bio: he used to have his hair cut in a barber shop in Kabwata, opposite the market. He was the noisiest or most verbose customer, often whipping out his pistol to show everyone (NB: as in the KK era, not many could carry personal pieces!) He would have everyone laughing to his jokes.
So from what “Paul Tembo” (MHSRIP) has written, we haven’t left out much!!!!!

  18. A porter – a person hired to carry burdens or baggage, as at a railroad station or a hotel. Kapoya in ZAmbia

  19. The Defence Minister is in charge of the president’s itinerary? And speaking on his behalf on non-Defence related matters?

    Confusion reigns.

  20. He’s touring all the 10 Provinces in the same way Late President Mwanawasa did in 2008. But for this retard, it will be a shear waste of our meagre resourse as a Country.

Let’s please request our colleagues from Tanzania to start preparing for his his final resting place from the village he comes.

  21. Can’t reason prevail in this PF govt? I mean, immediately after subsidies were removed, hundreds of ministers were sent out to unleash BUFI to Zambians at great cost. Now its the President’s turn to also venture on a “Tour of BUFI” at another great cost while the people of Kanyama compound in the Capital City still draw water from contaminated wells and use toilets outside their houses. No recognisable health delivery system in place, but millions of rebased kwacha will be chewed with no remorse at all. Please I beg, can someone in PF pump sense in this President.

  22. I would like to know how his tours will bring bread and butter on our table.Where are the damn jobs you dudes promised?

  23. Last time I recalled my geography, Zambia has 9 provinces and not 10. ba LT, what kind of journalism is this, whereby you don’t even know your own country geography!! I reckon una feluka geograpghy iwe guy.
