Zambia beat Division One South club Lusaka Tigers in a practice game on Wednesday as the team begins to wind-down its home training camp in Lusaka.
Herve Renard’s side beat Tigers 7-0 at Independence Stadium on Wednesday morning.
Zambia secured the win via braces from Nchanga Rangers striker Bornwell Mwape, Nkana forward Evans Kangwa and his club mate and midfielder Kelvin Mubanga.
Nkana striker Festus Mbewe was also on target with one goal.
Zambia will be away to Zimbabwe on Sunday whom they face in a 2014 CHAN second round, first leg qualifier at Rufaro Stadium in Harare.
So its possible to score 7-0? I thought Zambian culture was to stop scoring at 3 goals?
why did they play this amatuer team? why not paly against zesco or Nkana.
To everything there’s time. Time for the lab experiments, to see if you are getting it right. And then time for, “Let’s do it for real.” Nothing wrong at all. Viva Renard! Viva Chipolopolo! Viva Zambia! Now, let’s go and do it for real!
Why should they play Nkana or Zesco? This is a training game. They can even play Zambia B. Nothing is to be read in such matches
pa last zambia ni Nkana! lets go boys!
In the 80s and I believe 70s we used to have B side. That could have been a better gauge for the team not playing some amateur side. i remember enjoying watching All Stars Vs Th Rest game at the close of the soccer season. I wish kalu and team could organize such.
nkana kalampa ni ba zambia.
Go Zambia Go! pobo again!
bornwell mwape always scores in practice matches but the real thing nada i hav no love for the guy anymore.
Include Milanzi and Douglas Chiwaya in the strike force…
upepele inshi iwe?
yaba wandepula. ke ke ke ke…
WTF! Douglas and Milanzi are finished and old.
Pwahahahahaha, nice one!
Its a game not worth reporting.
Very true. Only a newspaper that doesnt know what is news can report on this. Its a practice game that will interest noone except the coach
Lusaka tigers not armatures imwe
I was actually wondering and debating with myself as to who these tigers are…, Kanshi it’s just todlers from our backyard!
Where is this striker called MUDENDA. He is very good. Next time consider him for selection , please!
