That Chinese guy in photo 12 should be taught some manners. How can he be pointing at the Paramount Chief like that?
Chinese (pointing at Mpezeni): you, looking like that, are their chief?
Mpezeni (clasping hands): Inde, pepani bwana …
In their tradition it is a ginomous insult pointing at them, they would kick your a*** like no mans bizzness, i wonder why we allow such behaviour? or maybe this particular china man is Zambianised?
Kekekeke pic12, Mpezeni balimusoka ku kamu chinese.
But this chief has become a destitute.
@nostradamus and cindy..
you guys you dont understand… mpezeni was asking for `some small amount` from the chinese to go and buy some medicine and food,,, since subsidies have been removed, and it did not rain properly so at home,, its not things
Chachine alefwaikwa amafunde,about that finger.
unless he knows martial arts, I would kick his chinese ass back to outer mongolia
wow.. i didnt know that, so eastern province has two paramount chiefs,, wow! great,
Yes. Eastern has two paramount Chiefs: Mpezeni and Gawa Undi.
Imagine that! Pointing at the whole lot of a PARAMOUNT chief with a Puma cap on. And to make the mattress wet he’s wearing a “stupid” (swine) sweater in front of his royal highness! I’m so appalled!
Pic 30-Oh my ! I didn’t know that Alice Chama is still active with the Amayenge thing.Good to know.
I thought she was Mrs. Sata, looks so soft!!
she can stil dance..mamamamama,, you should see her waist when she dances,, serious temptations for most men..kekekek
@Ndobo…Kekekeke but Bashi Mwaba tamumfwa, don’t admire your friends’ assets.
The traditional dances are spot on.
Exactly my sentiments!
it’s usuall Kaseba the first lady
Our ministers are too old #facksonshamenda and #nevelynwilombe. We need young energetic ministers vibrant and strong to carry us forward.
Where does Kaseba’s bodyguard keep her gun?
In her bosom
@Pricess, What is bosom, you mean nika or bla?
iwe nostra, please use your online dictionary naiwe!!
Tom? what a dubious question….. hahahaha
I need to scroll back and look at the bodyguard to see if I can kick her ass to outer mongolia.
Pic #32 – Lose the beard mamy. Its unattractive mwe. Ma kiss unvela ndevu zi kwesha kwesha zoona.
Osa dandaula naiwe. Just share your shave cream with her and the kiss will be smooth, ala!.
LMFAO hahahaha okay will do!
I doubt her creature the Lord almighty looks at her and finds an issue with that. He still says to her ” I love you”.
Hoe do you wear a white overcoat when you are going to sweep dirt?
It is Zambian mentality. He wants to be mistaken for a doctor!
haha mistaken for a doctor.
We CAN NOT allow such insolence and disrespect in our Land! HOW can that CHINESE punk be pointing a finger at the Great Paramount Chief Mpezeni. The Government should surely discipline that chap!! and i think investigations should be on the way as to why that was let to happen later on picture of disrespectful behavior displayed in the media!! ikona!!
I think madam Kaseba is doing a recommendable job unlike these old madalas running the govt.Well as for Mpezeni he deserves a finger to be pointed at him.Why should the whole chief going to inspect the roads as if he a politician.Let him be were should be and not the streets.
Development development all the way! Pic 32 is that a he/she, how about that beard?
Pic #1,
Was that a contest for the widest opening mouth? If so, the woman in white must have won it.
Is that really Masebo #23?
Pic # 26 so much for health and safety pa zed huh!
thanks for the photos. why has the minister got a dust mask and ordinary people have nothing? the muzungu will take pictures of the mawkish and make tv cartoon programs for zambia instead of us doing it. remember they used animals from madagasca. muzungu is making a dam where there’s no water. ndola has a natural dam but the black man can’t develop it. even the chinese has no respect for mpezeni. why do few people have life jackets in last pic?
iwe dont you know Zambians lack brainstorming, when we see or look at something we think so little with what we do can with it. if we cant thing of what to do with the gabbage in lusaka, how can we think about making cartoons with those traditional dances. we need brainstorming and creativity classes, mandatory from 4th grade if we are to be triumph. example, kid in picture 31! i dont know how good he is, but in some countries, those are big dollar signs! in zambia after the whole show is done, he is back playing gun pendelo with his friends[i hope not]
pic 3….nayewa “Luangwa high School”
PIC #13 After living in China for 2 years one thing I have come to learn about these people is that they lack etiquette and good manners. Recently the Chinese government rebuked it’s citizens traveling to foreign countries as tourists to behave themselves after several reports have singled out Chinese behaving awkwardly.
33 & 34)
Does anyone know where I can buy a skirt like those in the picture? I’m serious.
I can make it for you….
@Saint 2 Be
Are you really serious? We are both in the US. I think I’m too old to wear a bodice like they have, but maybe a simple top with straps might work.
Let me know.
18)
Seems a bit crass to present the chief with a huge box labelled “Generator”. The generator should be a gift/donation to the village, and the chief presented with a more personal traditional gift.
Where’s tradition gone??
How can the whole professor roll on the ground for a village chief. And you laugh at Mphenzeni for being wished well by a Chinese guy.
He is giving honour to whom honour is due. My white friends in England once expressed their admiration for how we ‘Africans’ show honour to our elders and encouraged me never to throw away that part of my culture irrespective of how long I have been in the diaspora. What an example for his children and all of us to follow. Well done sir!

No gym membership needed. A mortar and pestle works far better than an Ab cruncher
Can’t believe that Kenneth named a secondary school after his father? Or was it after himself?
I just cant, with him.
#22
That’s a very small chalet.
Would be perfect as a gazebo though.
I’m ignoring the politicians’ pictures today, except to say to them – Leave the kids alone. they are not photo opportunities.
I can not see the pics. How do I?
Stop using a cheap phone!
@HACKER that’s not fair, the old-man is just asking, in-fact he just need glasses.
Interesting pics. I’m loving the traditional attire and the chalets. We are certainly sitting on gold, where tourism is concerned. We can learn a lot from how Zimbabweans manage to promote the Vic Falls, for example.
My brother – Zambians never learn! The time when Zim was under extended EU/US sanctions would have been the best time to develop Zambian tourism, especially in Livingstone, but no. Now, Zim is back with a vengeance and their tourism is booming again.
@Londoner, true. Zambia did not maximise on the opportunity, just as it is not maximising on the Bill Clinton visit.
Picture #24 – Did not know James is such a huge fellow even in stature, as he is in his reasoning and opinions we have read so many times, against the tyranny – Sata’s and winter’s govt. He has led LAZ at a very tough time, but he has been equal to the task. Keep it Jimbo!
Pic #1. I love it. Laughing is open, no rules attached. Laughter has a lot of health benefits.
Pic#31 – Great talent from the six year old drummer. It shows on his determined face. Should have mentioned his name, who knows a potential sponsor could be reading LT.
Pic #23 – Good to see Shamenda looking more presentable, i.e. finally shaved and straightened his collar jacket. Now he can re-sit the multiple choice exam, he might pass this time.
Pic#25 – These guys don’t look like they are singing at all. Doubt if they know the lyrics of the full length of the National Anthem.
All in all, great photos.
Olo ni mfumu …This worldly respect mwandi..kaya
Pic #32
Does the woman posing with Dalitso have a beard? It would make for a confusing morning after a drunken one night stand.
we are just reading comments on last week in pictures. Where are the pictures. Please someone advise.
your pictures have become less interesting as compared to what I used to see three or four years ago. What is happening? There are too many about political figures. Show us what can be appreciated and not Kabimba, Kaseba Masebo, bla bla bla. It is too much.
