The opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) faction has commended party members for not shredding the speech that President Michael Sata delivered to parliament during the official opening of the Third Session of the Eleventh National Assembly.
Earlier MMD president Nevers Mumba had threatened that his party would again shred the Presidential speech if President Sata attempted to turn his address to the House into a comedy show.
MMD faction leader Richard Kachingwe has maintained that Members of Parliament (MPs) are supposed to preserve the sanctity of Parliament and that shredding the Presidential speech only embarrasses an individual that tears the speech.
Major Kachingwe has told Qfm in an interview that civilized MPs are supposed to analyze the speech by the President and recommendation as opposed to shredding it.
And Major Kachingwe has appealed to MPs from the opposition to come with alternative budgets as a preparation to base their criticism or recommendations when the government presents the national budget in Parliament next month.

It was not shredded because for the first time Ukwa read a speech. We should thank the MPs who had their heads shaven clean. This seemed to have concentrated Ukwa’s mind to focus on what he went to parliament for. It was a question of “let me go through this speech very quickly before this bald heads bring death on me”. We should also be thanking Ukwa’s Witchdoctor for the antidote against Ukwa’s comedy! So as per the Witchdoctor’s orders we should all be spotting bald heads if Ukwa is to be serious with handling the affairs of the country. Asante sana Dr Whatever from Tanzania.
Saulosi,Sata only understands a scaring language.That’s why this time he behaved and surprisingly he read the speech written for him although you could see that,he didn’t even believe in what he was reading.In short Sata didn’t ‘own’ the written speech.I hope Saulosi you know what I mean by ‘not owning the written Speech’.

Kachingwe has been informed that Civil Servants are getting a salary rise, Hence Major Kachinje is also asking for a salary adjustment as Director of the PF’s “Special MMD Destruction & RB Punishment Unit”. Another member of this covert Unit who has just been posted to attack RB in Chipata is Lameck Mangani. Kachingwe operates at national level while Mangani has been detailed to operate in Eastern Province.
It is unfortunate that Zambia’s national integrity has been reduced to such a low ebb where reason and exhibition of high moral standards is a CRIME punishable through Police harassments; whereas deception, thefts, mutilation of national Constitution and hooliganism are the accepted norms of PF governance tinged with state rewards.
