PRESIDENT Michael Sata is ready to call for an emergency Central Committee meeting in order to resolve the squabbles that have rocked the ruling party, party deputy Secretary General Bridget Atanga has said.

In an interview yesterday, Ms Atanga assured the nation that Mr Sata would call for an emergency meeting anytime because he too wanted to have this matter put to rest.

Ms Atanga urged the nation to be patient with the President on this issue saying he too wanted to handle it amicably so that his members could all be free to talk and work in unity.

“Just be patient, the President too is equally concerned with the squabbles, accusations and name calling currently being witnessed in the country, but I can assure you that this will come to an end soon, the President can call for an emergency meeting any time, it can be today, tomorrow or any other day,” she said.

She also urged the media to report accurately as required by the professional ethics and not to suit their personal ambitions.

The central committee last week on Friday deferred the matter in it was supposed to tackle the petition demanding the removal of Party secretary General Wynter Kabimba.

  1. Eagerness should be accompanied by action, where is the man of action if his home is marred by continuous chaos? We want an end to this crap and it has to come soonest Mr EAGER president.

    • ZAMBIANS WHAT SENSE DO YOU MAKE OUT OF THESE WORDS
“Stand and sing of Zambia proud and free
Land of work and joy in unity
Victors in the struggle for the right
      We’ve won freedom’s fight
      All, one strong and free

Praise be to God, praise be, praise be
      Bless our great nation
      Zambia, Zambia, Zambia
Free men we stand, under the flag of our land
      Zambia praise to thee
      All, one, strong and free

Africa is our own mother land
Fashioned with and blessed by God’s good hand
Let us, all her people join as one
      Zambia, praise to thee
      All, one, strong and free

One land and one nation is our cry
Dignity and peace ‘neath Zambia’s sky
Like a noble eagle in its flight
      Zambia, praise to thee
      All, one, strong and free”

I personally see, national and Africa unity, Godliness,…

    • Guys how true is that nurses have been duped again this month? I hear their promised salary rectification has not been honoured by the Sata and his PF. Is it BUFI again. Surely nurses will not celebrate independence in a happy mood at all.

  2. People have been patient for long. King Cobra has lost his venom. There is more to these squabbles than meets the eye.

  3. Atanga must know that issues that were politically driven by Wynter Kabimba, Mmembe, Mutembo Nchito, Masebo and now being linked to Guy Scott (with Mahtani on the fences) are serious. There was a campaign against Given Lubinda as a test ground. The guns later turned on the GBM who heads a powerful ethnic grouping in northern region of Zambia.

The truth is that Ba Sata has been a DOUBLE DEALER, making cryptic deals with GBM as pillar of Bemba grouping and making under-current deals with Kabimba to siphon our Tax payers money through creation of dubious companies.

The fact is that President Sata is NOT eager to resolve the PF squabbles. Sata is downright SCARED of both GBM and the Kabimba-Mmembe clique The latter is capable of spilling the bins to expose Sata.

  4. I hope the emergency meeting will be held before the independence day because otherwise the two faction parties may clash right there at plot one and it would be a shame on the president!

    • Apparently Sata is very much aware that there could be a clash of these tow factions if celebrations are held at plot 1. He has instead moved them to Kitwe. He will be in Kitwe to celebrate independence this year to avoid clashes between the Chikwelete’s and Banda’s groups.

  5. “Just be patient! The president will call an emergency meeting”. That, my dear, is called an oxymoron. Why should we be patient when the president is eager to “put the matter to rest” and the meeting will be an emergency one? Pleeease!

  6. Whenever politicians fail, they always resort to blaming the media as not reporting accurately. Many politicians will say things and when the media picks such stories, the politicians claim to be misquoted. Bridget Atanga must just admit that her party has failed to deal with the internal squabbles because of lack of trust. Sata himself is not straight and is a traitor. He has failed to take action because he wants to eat with both hands. It cannot work; decisions have to be made and not all will be pleased. It is normal to displease some friends for the sake of moving forward. If Sata is not careful, the PF will crumble. How can you have people like Bridget Atanga who act emotionally to be leaders of the party? On what bases did she suspend Goodson Banda and Robert Chikwelete? Surprising!

  7. Just cant understand the motive behind him cerebrating this year’s independence on the Copperbelt. Finshi baletina mu Lusaka?

  8. eager, patient, emergency.rarely does any person not even when one has only a single brain cell use these three words in one breathe.madam tell SATA to fire GBM and kabimba, no need for some emergency meetings here.it will also save you the embarassement you are subjecting yourself to.

  9. ATANGA may be needs to worry more about Chikwelete than about responsibilities of the president. Chikwelete has openly defied her suspension order. So now let us hear what she is going to say to that. May be now she can have a taste of the medicine that irritated Kabimba to such an extent that he had to lash out….may be now she will understand Kabimba’s position. There is no doubt that Chikwelete has people behind him, people bent on something horrible. Let’s see what ATANGA is going to do since she seems to act as if she is the cleverest person…or may be she is also behind Chikwelete? Who knows!

  10. Good afternoon Saulosi. Quite now like the president ah. Let us hear you lone voice on this platform. I enjoy your analysis of things the PF way.

  11. Its “Victors in the Struggle for the right” and not “visitors” in the first stanza, I thought you figured out this after primary school????
