STATEMENT BY ALLIANCE FOR BETTER ZAMBIA

THEME: PATRIOTIC FRONT (PF) SHOULD BE DE-REGISTERED
The recent violent conduct of PF calls for de-registration of the party according to Section 13 sub-section (1) (b) of the Societies Act.
The Section cited above states that; “The Minister may, in his discretion, cancel at any time the registration of any society affected under the provision of section seven if he is satisfied that it is expedient so to do on the ground that – the interest of peace, welfare or good order in Zambia would, in his opinion, be likely to suffer prejudice by reason of the continued registration of such society.”
It is a fact that PF has become a danger to peace, good order and welfare of the general public in our country.
The violence has reached unprecedented levels of intra-party violence leading to the loss of life.
No one should doubt the potential of PF violence to cause national instability.
Against this background, we call upon the responsible minister to rise above partisan interest and de-register PF before the violence they have been perpetrating gets out of control.
Should the minister fail to de-register PF, we urge the people of Zambia to delete PF from the list of political parties to vote for in by- elections and the 2016 tripartite elections.
We are also calling for a thorough investigation to bring to book those that have been sponsoring violence in PF.
Finally, we think that the police have failed to be professional because they fear being fired by President Sata should they be tough with violent PF cadres.
Hence, we reiterate our call to President Sata to put an end to lawlessness in PF.

Frank naena sometimes just call for insults, this kind of thinking calls for cadres to pour Chibuku on him. Its too low thinking. Better think more advanced like HH, and if anyone wanted to pour anything on him it will be Oban- Scottish Whisky.

What you are failing to grasp is what Fr. Bwalya is implying. He is asking MCS and his cabinet to resign on moral grounds. He is also sending a message to the public on how pf is failing to maintain peace and order in the country.

We understand exactly what Bwalya is implying, but do you think, even in your wildest imagination that can happen? Where in Africa have you seen or heard of an African head of state resigning on moral grounds, let alone a pauper minister resigning because of a scandal? It’s either he is just fired or he does not get elected again. When has the the aspect of morals been an issue in Africa?

Praise Fr. Bwalya for upping the fight against this rogue pf party. The war is won morally. It is the battle that you win physically. Remember to read between the lines and not superficially. Wish you the best in your dissertation.
When contacted, Lungu said the PF was not above the law and that its members should put their house in order.
“The challenge is valid because we the PF are not above the law. If the information gathered by the police and the intelligence warrants that we deregister the party…then I have to abide by that, but we need to make consultations,” he said.
Lungu said it was up to the PF members to change and begin behaving properly.
Father Frank Bwalya you’re asking a dry stone in the desert to yield some water or a cheating student to set exam finals for himself.PF will never deregister itself bcoz its an inherently unjust party.
Nothing is impossible. He has the authority and he can exercise it and rescue himself by resigning on morel grounds. It is unprecedented to have a leader like MCS in Africa or in the world. As the Zambians we should be ready to go to some extra- ordinary length to put to this madness to an end.
Sata must fire Lungu because Lungu has failed to control the PF cadres.Willie Nsanda should also be fired because it seems he is the sponsor of these thugs in the PF!We are tired of this nonsense of PF cadres always running in the streets carrying coffins now they are killing each other!Its shameful that Lungu allows these things to happen while he is just watching!!

Oh no. Who would have thought MCS would one day lead Zed when he formed pf in 2001 after being overlooked by FTJ. What we should do now is to back Fr. Bwalya by calling on Parliament to impeach MCS on grounds of incompetence and endangering the peace and security of the nation.

1. Frank Bwalya has made reference to the zambian law on societies he’s absolutely right. 2. Those saying deregistering murderous pf party is impossible are confirming that zambia is under immoral democracy (dictatorship) and wud do nothing for moral democracy.
Soon after another govt is voted in PF will be de-registerd to repent from their violence. PF animal if left unchecked can set unquenchable fire to the nation. Evidence is there to prove that even Michael Sata is spineless to stop thuggery, machete wielding and hacking to death each other. He is more concerned being in state house and pandering to his ministers like little children. Small wonder people from all walks of life refer to all his rantings as mere rhetoric.
MCS is the father of panga culture. He is the one who led the notorious Kadobi squad during the third term bid which led to the infamous Chawama brutalisation of opponents. Sata and his raised fist of violence is the key to PF violence. But thank God for the ICC. You may run bad you can never hide. The Hague is waiting for you.

Is it ok for you to have a President who is not moved by the shedding of blood unless it was an opportunity for him to incacerate and humiliate the opposition ; remember the Livingstone debacle and the arrest of Hon Nkombo and others? Is it ok for you since you are a PF stooge to have Zambians get used to matcheting each other inkhata-ANC type by the Panga Fist (PF)?
Comments most of whom are against what Bwalya has said makes me wonder how we have become so used to abnormalities that we tolerate it and blame the right. Imagine if this killingbhappened in an opposition party…Panga Fighters can be deregisterded in a normal society, and fresh elections held.zambians are too dull and docile.

What a request. In his dreams, just openly say. Zambians, you have seen how violet PF are. Come 2016 don’t vote for them. But give us options because at the Moment opposition parties are also very useless. We have this Serious Leadership Crisis in Zambia. That’s the sad part.
I think we need to move away from Kaunda’s thinking, were he stuck to the throne for 27 years on the pretext that there was no Zambian fit to rule Zambia. He even included SATA (non -Presidential material). SATA today is a president the only thing is that he has his time of pave Zambia, link Zambia this and that, create districts and he has done a lot of things but haphazardly. Surely among the oppositions today there are better leaders than SATA, they may not be as comic as SATA is, but certainly they will bring back sanity to our country. Kaunda is smiling today because MMD stopped the sinking ship from him and stopped the economic decay of the later years of Kaunda’s rule. Today Kaunda would not be earning anything as the economy would have completely crumbled to worse than ZIM.

Why were you showing us blood during the 2011 campaigns under pf? This has translated into reality.
The minister of home affairs should explain why the PF murderers were allowed to assemble, proceed on public roads while armed and mount an illegal check-point where they violently attacked each other.
Did they have a police permit? If not can the minister explain? Mr Lungu is a failure and must step down.
The silence from the Catholic Church is almost criminally too loud to bear! Almost as unbearably painful as the silence from the supposed secretary-general of the party at the centre of the violence who also happens to be the minister of justice! I don’t think you campaigned blindly for MCS and his thugs knowing very well that priests are God’s representatives.
