Former Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) National Chairman Michael Mabenga has advised President Michael Sata not to take a Luke-warm approach towards the intra-party violence in the Patriotic Front.
Mr Mabenga wonders why President Sata who he says he has known to be a proactive person has been so silent on the Patriotic Front intra-party violence and confusion.
He stresses that it is unfortunate that Patriotic Front members have resorted to hurting and killing each other.
He has called on President Michael Sata to reassert his authority in the party and be firm.
Mr. Mabenga notes that if the president does not act now to stop the violence, it will spill over to other parts of the country and innocent people will be affected.
Head this before so, not news worthy
This is the manner we were toldm he is only good for wars.
But he has built a road to my village.
The buffaloes in uniform are just watching the unfolding damaging events to true democracy in this country. One day, the peace of this country will be unfortunate and in jeopardy because nobody is working tirelessly to achieve and maintain it. We have got a lot of noise makers in this country who make noise unnecessarily and the proper road map of democracy is being lost every minute. There is no more unity of purpose as nation and things are always going in the opposite and dangerous direction. We are not idle, we are watching sometimes with burning hearts but one day, great surprises will take this nation. I end here.
UNWORTHY AND STALE NEWS!
THE SOURCE OF TROUBLE AND CONFUSION, THE LUSAKA BRANCH PARTY OFFICE IS ALREADY LOCKED, AND IS CURRENTLY UNDER A 24 HR POLICE GUARD.
@ Luapula Premier. Your Honor, the closure of the office is not a lasting solution. The warring factions are still out there and sooner or later they will clash. A solution to such a problem is best achieved through reconciliation which should be initiated by the leader of the party. The best example is SA where after years of extreme violence, Madiba achieved reconciliation.
He is poaching members from other parties.
Ba MMD, you have moral right to comment on on Mr. Sata’s misgovernance. This is your legacy. At the end of twenty year reign of plunder you left the populace with no choice but to elect ba Kabova, miscreants, ill-bred brats to take over the governance of the country. You are surprised at the way things are deteriorating! But this is to be expected of the man who models himself after a revolting snake.
