Patriotic Front (PF) officials drawn from all the eight districts of Lusaka Province have petitioned the party’s leadership to immediately expel party provincial chairlady, Margaret Mumba for allegedly bringing the name of the party into disrepute.

The officials are accusing Mrs. Mumba of allegedly bringing the name of President Sata and the party into disrepute through illegal acquisition of plots and dissemination of false information.

They add that the provincial chairlady has further failed to recognize legitimate party organs and subsequently enticing women to parade naked before the media.

The petition was presented through Chirundu district chairlady, Beatrice Phiri in Chilanga district.

And receiving the petition, Lusaka Province Chairperson, Geoffrey Chuumbwe pledged to deliver the petition to relevant authorities of the party for further action.

Mr. Chuumbwe stressed the need for discipline in the ruling party urging the members to follow laid down procedures when they are aggrieved.

He said the ruling party only has only one legitimate president, Michael Sata and that the party is intact in the province.

Mr. Chuumbwe warned the members against being used by some disgruntled politicians in destabilizing the party in Lusaka Province.
