President Michael Sata has with immediate effect transferred Northern Province Minister Obious Chisala to the Ministry of Gender and Child Development as deputy minister.
Mr. Chisala who confirmed the development to ZANIS in Kasama today said the President has swapped him with Gender Deputy Minister Freedom Sikazwe.
Mr. Sikazwe, who is also Mpulungu Member of Parliament, once served as Northern Province Minister before he was transferred to Lusaka Province in the same capacity.
And Mr. Chisala has thanked President Sata for giving him an opportunity to serve the people of Northern Province and pledged to work hard in his new portfolio.
Yesterday, PF members in Kasama demanded the removal of Mr. Chisala from the province accusing him of working against the ruling party.
PF Provincial Secretary Evarist Chella who led the party members in a peaceful demonstration, charged that as Provincial Minister Mr Chisala was allegedly inciting divisions among party members.
But Mr. Chisala, who is also PF Chilubi Member of Parliament dismissed the accusations saying he was a peaceful person who would not want to promote divisions in the ruling party.
He said his decision to instruct the police to arrest people advocating for violence was misconstrued by the PF leadership as having been targeted at them.
Mr. Chisala has urged PF members to respect one another and foster unity of purpose.

@OldRuggsOut and @AK, welcome to the real world. I am glad you ve taken out those “donchi kebeba” glasses and can see what we ve been telling all along.
Anyway, its never too late to atone for your sins. Look closely at the one and only potential president for Zambia in 2016 – don’t make a mistake again – He is coming in 2016.
does this man know anything about running a country?
Who cares. No one is in charge.
142 – I care, coz I need to move forward as a Zambian.
Never again shall I waste my vote!!!!
Sata has brought th nation to ts knees soo many people in Zambia ar suffering
So a cadre is really powerful after all huh? Anyway…more settling in allowance for you bwana Minister
Mind games will only hinder development of the nation and far, for how long?!
Meant for how long and how far?!
AS ALWAYS, SHAKESPEARE SAID IT BEST, IN THIS CASE IN “JULIUS CEASER”:
‘The dogs of war have been unleashed’.
The bembas are under siege by a fellow bemba president. He is swapping them around as they continue to hound him left, right and centre. Soon they will be locked up in their numbers. A government of lunatics, indeed RB’s lawyer Amsterdam has been vindicated.
SO THE CADRES,CAN MAKE A MINISTER LOOSE HIS JOB OR TRANSFERRED, WONDERS SHALL NEVER END IN THE PF GOVT. IF SATA BEGINS TO SANCTION THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOUR FROM MERE CADRES,THEN HE HAS FAILED TO RULE THIS COUNTRY.THIS IS ANARCHY AT ITS BEST.DATA HAS REALLYS SURPRISED ME,A PRESIDENT WHO CANNOT PROTECT HIS MINISTERS FROM MERE ALLEGATIONS FROM CADRES,THEN ALL THE MINISTERS SHOULD NOW BE AFRAID OF CADRES AND BOWL DOWN TO THEM OR ELSE YOU WILL FASTER THAN YOU CAME.GUDLUCK MR CHISALA IN YOUR NEW MINISTRY,OTHERWISE THE BEST FOR YOU IS TO FOLLOW THE FOOTPATH OF GBM,BUT I GUESS POLITICSOF THE BELLY YOU CAN’T SURVIVE WITHOUT THAT JOB,STAY BOY.
Rubbish. Very sickening news
joxer …
How those cadres failled to pull down Kabimba, remains questionable.
Ba Sata, surely Minister should now fear carders??? Awe mweeee……
That’ s what the Zambians wanted – almost everything is in a mess.
@What Else,
You are right, Zambians are reaping what they sowed.
Since Sata took over the presidency the bembas have been proudly exclaiming ‘tu le miteka’ so much that the ‘official language’ in government and public institutions is now bemba. It is unbelievable that the same ‘tu le miteka’ are today at each others throats with daggers drawn.

Mwaletweba ba Chanda Chimba III tatwaleumfwa, find ways of how you can enligthen us on the Cobra. Truely we thought it was PROPAGANDA, kanshi chalichachine pali Ba King Cobra (what a nick name! name after a deadly snake).
I can never understand a Zambian. Complains the loudest but when offered a chance to put in measures to prevent him run into same problems again, he turns the opportunity down. He wants to look smart when he is not, brave when he is a coward, act rich when he survives on kaloba. Everyone is complaining about Sata and his of lack of education. We have all seen what a problem it can be but not too long ago we were presented with an opportunity to prevent a repeat of having an uneducated leader by changing the constitution. But remind me what did the zambians say? Yes, even educated leaders make mistakes but rarely do their common sense go to sleep. In our time we need decisions based on data but if our leaders can’t reader how will they read the data let alone analyze it?
Sata is such a useless president of our precious republic he doesnt even qualify to be a headman.
impeach him./ Zambians know how to sort their problem
Political humbug at play.Pf members must be strong and not behave like shifting sand.Be of one voice and outsmart these that wish u evil- 24/7/365qouta days.Who would want 2 c the confusion dat GBM has caused pf?He started with the endorsment…..
Awe naine ka vote kandi kwati mwakapusa mwe. Am heart broken coz have been a very serious supporter of pf frm 2006 nomba twambe ukutina ba cadre
Only those who understand the times would see that pf does not deserve the condemnation i am reading here.Being a pipo with deprived minds u’ll never be happy with anything.Yos re complaints 4ever.Mr Sata , may God give u more wisdom.Don’t be afraid!
@Osmore, kwena walikosa umutwe.
Even when signs are everywhere that its curtains for Paya Farmers (PF). Iwe nawukambatilila pabwato. Ukashala weka naba mudala bobe, lobe.
My Brother, you really need to ask for wisdom from God.
Ever since Chisala was transfared to kasama there have been alot talk.GBM started the endorsement from there. Ofcourse with Chisala’s blessings.Anyway time is the best judge.
It’s turning out to be a political bonanza for North Zambia’s non-Bemba majority. Should Mr. Sata manage to lure the Mambwes, Lungus, Namwangas etc. into the Bisa camp, then the Bembas will cease to be a serious political threat against PF in the area. Already, PF is still a non-push-over in Luapula and possibly on the Copperbelt as well. As I can see, Ukwa is politically astute.
The Bembas do have a definite vulnerability to the non-Bemba majority tribes of North Zambia, who see them as their perenial foes and archrivals. The Bisa, being traditionally a subordinate tribe to the Bemba, are in a better position to identify themselves with their fellow down trodden non-Bemba majority tribes as birds of the same feather and who historically have faced a common fate as them!
You can paint a Zebra yellow, that doesn’t make it a lion, it just makes it a painted zebra. Moving a trash can from Kasama to Lusaka doesn’t make it a porcelain soup bowl.
If your staff cannot handle high pressure situations and are only good for dancing at the airport, providing kamasutra sessions for visiting dignitories, holding dark corner meetings, threatening GRZ workers and ordering Constituency cars that are over priced, then you are focked!
Such is life when you place relatives that are ill trained and not experienced in sensitive situations. Get something into your PF skulls: “CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATIONS” no leakage! Austrailia has done it. When you’re next at CHOGM ask them. Buladi baskets
As long has its the politics of the belley. Sata will continue kicking his cabinet ministers whenever he feels like. He should have behaved the same way he did to Kabimba by keeping quiet. This shows that Sata can trust his cadres than his ministers
their his op
Should Mr. Sata manage to bring Northern Province’s non-Bemba majority, i.e. the Mambwes, Lungus, Namwangas, etc. into the Bisa camp, Bembas will cease to be a serious political factor in the area. It’s called divide and rule.
And which non-Bemba majority in North Zambia wouldn’t celebrate to see that happen, considering that the Bembas have, historically, been their perenial foes?
How come all the bloggers on these sites are in the diaspora? Come back home you economic refugees.
Tata tata ba bokosi naimwe mwalatusebanya! What the F” is diaspora …? What good is running away from solving the puzzle you ought to have solve for yourself and your motherland head-on? Ati diaspora???? Mwanya ba fyatile WRONG decisions will continue to be made on your behalf by people on the ground as you continue renewing your passports just to seep the door mats of your masters in foreign lands.
Lets start prepairing for another party to take over from useless party and government PF.
Dictatorship is back. Ba Sata baonaula icalo, kuyabebele 2016.
@Chikwele, you don’t have to look far for that.
Open your eyes and look objectively – he is already here. He Has come. All you have to do is Join HIm.
Mwalapila mwe ba votele PF. At least am not pinching myself because i did not. Ba SATA lishilu I knew him a long time ago. Tapalati guys.
That’s why I can’t join politics!! Politics is a game of people who are tolerant not us!!
My president should ensure ministers are safe to carry out work without fear of cadres…protect ministers and Technocrates for easy and quick implementation of developmental programmes…
