Bembas Speak out Against Law Enforcement Officers in Chitimukulu’s Area

Share

The Bemba Royal Establishment has warned government of serious actions if it continues to deploy law enforcement officers in senior Chief Mwamba’s area in Kasama.

It was reported that law enforcement officers were deployed in the area to bar the incoming Chief Chitimukulu from taking over the throne.

About 30 village headmen and some traditional councilors in senior Chief Mwamba’s area have since threatened to march to Paramount Chief Chitimukulu’s palace if law enforcement officers deployed in the area are not removed.

A representative of the more than fifty headmen said that this is a final warning to President Michael Sata to re-deploy the Police Officers somewhere else.

‘ We are demanding the immediate removal of police officers surrounding Paramount Chief Chitimukulu’s palace. This is a final warning and we are not giving any ultimatum. We met as a group we are were about 30 and have all resolved to issue the final to President Sata’ the spokesperson person said.

And the spokesperson said they are praying hard for 2016 to come fast so that they teach President Sata and the Patriotic Front a hard lesson.

“We are praying that 2016 should come fast so that we teach Sata and his party a lesson. We will campaign day and night to make sure Sata and PF rule for one term only.

President Michael has refused to recognize Henry Manga Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu. He has instead opted to go for Chief Chewe whom the Bemba Royal Establishment has also refused to recognize saying he does not qualify.

In November 2013 President Sata ordered 500 paramilitary to be deployed in Kasama at the Chitimukulu’s palace.A month later 400 police officers from Kasama and parts of Malole were withdrawn while 20 police officers were still stationed at paramount chief chitimukulu’s palace in Malole.

Northern Province Police Commissioner Charity Katanga told residents of Chitimukulu in Kasama District not to be intimidated with the presence of police officers deployed in the area.

Ms Katanga stated that the presence of police officers in any operation is meant to protect the wellbeing of residents in that particular area.

However residents of Kasama complained about the presence of police officers deployed at the Paramount’s palace alleging that they are intimidating them.

There is no war here and we are wondering why the police are saying they were sent to bring law and order by the President,”Bemba traditional leaders lamented.

  1. this impasse should and must be resolved quickly.

it does not bring unity and is counterproductive to development

    • Natural selection! death threats there, Kill each other!!,,, 2016 will come with drama all this bitternes,, i cant wait to watch from the terrences in my kingdom

    • Tiye nazo nkani zobaba. Lubemba will triumph eventually no matter what.

The majority of us Zambians are behind you my cousins. Do not relent in your demand for the rightful heir to the throne to take the throne.

    • Bemba Royal Establishment has overstayed its useful and not as influential as this delusional man is thinking, and I am bemba.

Here is a man that probably feeding from Mr Mwaamba’s pocket. It really is tasteless these demands and this man should be arrested, for daring and encouraging lawlessness

LT stopping giving these nonentities a platform to massage their ego.

      Thanks

    • @Ndobo, you see how the Bemba’s speak candid and passionately. The oldest man said something I would want anyone to translate.
someone in background said “Sata, ni nkulungwe, alya umwaka umo, namuno takekalemo”. That is deeper than saying “Listen Sata, Lesa ni Malyotolola”.
There is no language richer than Bemba. Some wisdom is impossible to translate, can’t even fit well in Lozi.

To Sata: what does the woman of yours tell you about Chitimukulu in bedroom, has she never told you that you have the roughest heart like an hyena? Is she large for nothing?

    • Nostradamus its your ignorance of the richness of other languages that makes speak so ignorantly about them. Today Bemba is the most despised language in Zambia.

    • Nothing will be done to solve this standoff as some people thrive on disunity and confusion. This serves them well since it as a smokescreen for their incompetence in governing the country and the economy to be specific

    • This is a thorn in the flesh of the PF Government or should I say pain in the ARSE-NAL and it will be interesting to see how they come out of this one!

    • These Bembas are lunatics. Upto now they don’t even know what to call themselves. On one day they will call themselves the LTC i.e Lubemba Traditional Council. On another day like today they will claim they are the BRE. For God’s sake, there’s only one BRE. That is the Barotse Royal Establishment that has been in existent for decades with a date stamp going decades to prove it. Please stop this masquerade if you want to be taken seriously. BRE is a registered TM of the Barotse! Stick to the Lubemba Traditional Council. Stop the copy and paste!

  2. PF has created so many enemies within a short period of time. Even their so-called own people the bembas, GBM, Chitimukulu. PF is in sekf-destruction mode for sure.

  3. I have never seen a stubborn president like Sata in my entire life. This man is not for the pipo but for his own good. Why cant he listen to the pipo?

    • the whole story on this succession has not been fully told-and l can guarantee you that Sata also has chiefs and indunas in northern and muchinga who support his preferred chief chewe-and about 2016 -my recollection is that the now deceased chitimukulu did not support sata at the last elections-whether this is payback to them we wait to see

    • @ LUBUTO ,Ever learnt of the history of Pharoh and Moses the man of God ,before and after releasing the children of Israeal from Egyptian bondage?

  4. these are just minor tradtional scuffles in the backyard. they have absolutely no impact on the 2016 outcome when the King HE MCS will once again reign supreme. just a little inhouse keeping going on there at the palace, no big deal

    • Hi Kudos,
Uli na mau? You now believe that your PF is destructive? Be sensible and support progress for Zambia. Forget about PF, a failed project which has divided Zambia. See now the Bembas are ready to fight.

    • @#Kudos
And to solve “minor traditional scuffles in the backyard” you need to deploy servicemen armed with RPG (anti-tank weapon) and squad support belt fed automatic gun?
That is “democracy” you are supporting?

  5. Kudos small problems develop to big problems if left unattended, they need to iron out their differences now otherwise 2016 will be a disaster, maybe you can be the mediator.

  6. How disgraceful! There are other more pressing national issues, but the President decides to enmesh himself into matters that should be left to the traditional establishment. It is actually unbelievably childish. Can someone please slap the President back to some semblance of sanity.

  7. MEANWHILE THE POST IS PONTIFICATING AND DISSEMINATING LIES ABOUT THE NEW CONSTITUTION TAKING AWAY POWERS OF CHIEFS.
WHAT ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE LIKES OF THE BEMBA PARAMOUNT CHIEF?
NO SENSE OF SHAME WHATSOEVER FOR PEOPLE WHO LIVE ON LIES AND OBSUFUCATION.

    • MEANWHILE THE POST IS PONTIFICATING AND DISSEMINATING LIES ABOUT THE NEW CONSTITUTION TAKING AWAY POWERS OF CHIEFS.

  8. This group of people appear to have taken leave of their senses. Interestingly, the Kafwafwa and insanity is among themselves and are exposing their UBUTUTU to the public. What a shame of people, small wonder the nation is retrogressing.

  9. Good evening

The act of antagonising traditionals by interfering in matters of their succession and then deploying security forces to intimidate them is a blunder.

It is clear that no one has gained anything in this conflict so far. Our people in Bembaland find themselves in a most unusual position; they are not happy at all and they can’t understand what the government is trying to achieve by throwing spanners in their works.

A schoolboy knows that there is only one word for this: Bullying. But even a schoolboy knows that there is a way to win against the big bully: Bruce Lee called it the art of fighting without fighting. Goliath was so paranoid with his strength that he forgot to consider the force behind the simplicity of David.

  10. Sata has no hand in selecting chitimukulu but he reserves the right to recognize a selected Chitimukulu by the Bemba Traditional Council. This has been the practice since the colonial era. The so called impasse was brought about following the degazetting of Kanyanta Sosala as Senior Chief Mwamba for the reason that he had not undergone traditional rituals when he ascended to Ituna throne. Later on when time came to select new Chitimukulu, the BTC landed on degazetted kanyanta Sosala. By all intent and schemes, this was a snub to Sata and disregard of the authority of the president of the land. This is not to say that Kanyanta Sosala does not deserve to be Chitimukulu or Sata has a final say in the selection of chitimukulu, no.What was needed at that stage was mutual respect and dialogue.

  11. Katele should assist.. In using their charms as facing armed paramilitary police may end up into ulgy confrontation.

    • @ Kilimanjaro,
Forget black magic ask GBM to organise two drones, after all he can afford it and they can fall accidentally from somewhere to anywhere!

  12. Mr. President sir,
I think this impasse has gone on for far too long. The ball has fallen squarely in your court. We know that this eminates from a long standing difference with Mr. Sosala but to what end are you taking this? Humility never kiled anyone. Pride did though. For the sake of peace and indeed prosperity please end this.

  13. The political element that has crept into the Chitimukulu issue is exacerbating the stand off. Opposition political vultures like HH and Nevers are perceiving massive Bemba votes out of the saga and would want the stand off to degenerate into anarchy. The onus is on us the Bemba people to handle this issue diligently and not to fall prey to political mercenaries.

  14. So sad for PF. Destroying its base! Meanwhile UPND is slowly but surely gaining ground. UPND will share the support they are gaining with no other party. But PF will share voters with MMD, FDD, AZ, Chipimo, etc. The great looser of voters will be PF if it does not do certain obvious acts like simply respecting Chitimukulu. Too many errors PF! Your errors are even erasing the good strides done so far.Look at constitution, a straight forward thing but it giving PF bad publicity! Laziness at though will let what you have slip through hands to the floor and become loooosers! Firing Nurses was terribly inhuman. Over spending on unnessary ministerial positions, too much costs on bye elections. When will the emporer realize the nakedness is creeping in too fast? Dont loose Kasama votes!

    • You are a disgruntled nurse. Mwailufyanishishefye mwebene. Ba tata ba Michael Chilufya Sata has no match in those upstarts you have just mentioned.
      Shalenipo tukamonana mu 2020.

  15. @ Mubemba Nkonko ‘This has been the practice since the colonial era’. Since when did these colonial masters come with chiefs to Africa in general and Zambia in particular? Maybe in Tanzania where SATANA came from they meddle in chiefs’ selection. Stop the rot. Ifyabupubafye. You can not let the shilubembas do their job in peace. What an hypocrite of a president.

    • Muleumfwako ne nsoni
How do you make such stupid statements wemukulu ifyo.
Michael Chiluya sata is wiser and a leader God has given to Zambia: He is a gift to this country napakuti muleponta nicho na wikuta.
We the bembas with a lot of integrity are still here to support him even up to 2016

  16. What is to “BAR”? How can bembaz ask the state to remove security now when they hack each other u still go to the same security u are chasing now? bembaz are finished UNDER PF they just know ukutonya amabele yaba nkhote

  17. janza, hopefully all parties in this matter will come to their senses and realize that internal squabbles can be a recipe for disaster. it is from such mole hills that the opposition hopefuls like (HH) might capitalize and build mountains to dislodge the current leadership, we cant allow that. i’m willing to be an independent mediator

  18. PF should remove the PF police from our Chitimukulu palace. we don’t need them and the Chiti Sosala should be left alone. yes, we will teach PF a lesson in 2016.

  19. Why dont politicians learn from history, Sata should be the first one to know that it is dengerous to toy with chiftainship because he saw the repurcations first hand during the time RB was toying with chief Nkomesha. But he still cant learn and we have only one year before election year. How is is going to quench all these w
ars he is creating for himself, the constitution, the chitimukulu, the barotse, etc

  20. A political consultancy firm in Ecuador required the services of a UN secretary-General and thus advertised the post. Among the many applicants were two Zambians, Sata , a Northerner and HH, a Southerner. On their way to the interviews they discussed possible questions and agreed on a framework of answers. On arrival HH was the first to be interviewed and the same questions as discussed were asked.
Here is how the interview went:
Panel: Who is the world’s most famous footballer?
HH: It was once Maradona but now it is Messi.
Panel: When did your country gain it’s Freedom?
HH: Efforts started in 1960 but finally in 1964.
Panel: Is there water in Mars?
HH: Some say so, others not, but it is not scientifically proven.

  21. Panel: Why do you think we should give you the job?
HH: Well, I have the experience, expertise and I am good at it.

The clever Sata memorised only the discussed answers, not the questions as discussed in the plan.
    Panel: Who is your father?
Sata: It was once Maradona, but it is now Messi.
    Panel: When were you born?
Sata: Efforts started in 1960, but finally in 1964.
Panel: Your CV shows that you have 12 children, why that many?
Sata: Well I have the Experience, expertise and I am good at it.
    Panel: Are you mad?
Sata: Some say so, but it is not scientifically proven!

  22. When they came for Chitimukulu, we never spoke out because we were not Bembas. When they came for the Litunga, we never spoke out because we were not Lozi. When they came for us, no one could speak for us.

Why is this President preoccupied with a Chief instead of protecting the people being killed by Congolese.

    • what tribal theme you have my man, you are Zambian that’s the country God gave you Litunga Chitimukulu e.t.c are secondary.
Mwiona ula ichalo. If you have to do something differently go into science Zambia needs to develop its scientific and research base. Don’t you think?

  23. Rocket Propelled Grenade launchers?!! What a bunch of cowards! How about they get sent to a war zone so we see if they’ll strut around with their RPG guns!

  24. President wesu alemoneka kwati amano takwata. No wonder Kwacha is depreciating everyday. No investor will risk investing in unstable govt like PF.Ifyo namona is blood shed in bemba land.2016 is not a year for PF becuase the blood shed which will be in bemba land will make PF lose elections in northern and Muchinga provinces. Not only that the depreciating of Kwacha will cause price of local products to be up.People don’t like govt which doesn’t know how to run the economy.3.The failure by PF to release constitution will also scare investors because there is a possibility of revolts by Zambian citizen. Therefore investors won’t waste time to invest in a country whose future is not guaranteed. The results= depreciating of kwacha.

  25. Bembas are not dull as PF. Leadership may think . Mwimona inshimba nailokwa ati Natola Ikanga ok but remember in bemba we say Inshimba ishilanyela Mupeto ikonke inshila . Another one says Kolwe ashilabengwa ,!!!!!!!!! Bashilumba wake up time is almost diminishing . Amatako yakulisha kubo mwapela ichipuna

  26. Well I can assure the Bemba Royal Establishment that those words fell on deaf ears! This must be a lesson to all the electorates that Sata is not a leader and ever since assuming office he has not shown any leadership skills whatsoever. This Bemba issue should have been dealt with a long time ago, there is really no need for the police presence around the palace. I urge the people of Malole to just stay away from the police as we know they will fire and kill at anyone as was the case in Western province during the RB time! Sata tomfwa elo teti mumolole iyo, nichumbu munshololwa!

  27. Ba sata remove your police men from this area bloggers i was in kasama some few days ago i had gone for a funeral i lost my father in malole. Police presence is so much as if my home village is at war.Just imagine from kasama town to malole two police check ups for what ? I had a chance to meet one of the senior chief who happens to be my grand father and told me that bashi lubemba balisalakale bachiti balu bemba ni basosala. My beloved presido just listen to these people mind you sosala will be number 39 in this bemba rein and ba sata nibanumber 5 pali bu presido. And may be bashilubemba should tell the people how it is down so that we know who is wrong here.

  28. At face value, the Bembaa presented themselves as the most clever group in the politics of Zambia. Alas! We the Easterners have come to realise, with shock, that the Bemba’s are at best the biggests cowards in Africa. They fail to read the dynamics that Mmembe and his Post newspapers have been publishing Sata’s anti-Bemba sentiments; yet the Bembas have been so hypnotized to religiously read that treacherous newspapers. Most of us in Eastern Province refuse to read the lies that are portrayed in Mmembe’s Post. Yes indeed, a Bemba ni vizende.

  29. Ala ulubemba lwesu, lwa lowa ngo buchi. Mama ka nselele. All these talks will soon pass. Believe you me, its a passing phase. Ndeloleshafye!
