The Grand Coalition on the Draft Constitution held prayer meeting saturday in Choma Southern province where its members said they are ready to be arrested over the Draft Constitution.

Coalition spokesperson McDonald Chipenzi said the continued harassments by government will not stop them from demanding for what rightfully belongs to the people.

Mr Chipenzi urged the people to demand for a constitution each time a PF official tries to address them as a way of sending a massage to them.

And Speaking during the same event, UPND President Hakainde Hichilema said the content of the current Draft Constitution is being secretly manipulated by the PF today.

He said people are aware that some individuals in the PF were uncomfortable with some contents in the draft document hence the delay by government in releasing the draft constitution.

Mr. Hichilema however, said the public was aware of the contents of the document therefore PF should not lie to themselves that they can remove some clauses from the new constitution.

The United Party for National Development President urged Zambians should be polite but firm with the PF and president Sata in particular when demanding for their constitution.

And Alliance for Democracy and Development President Charles Milupi said Zambians should get rid of docility which keeps them from demanding what they rightfully own.

Meanwhile, ZADECO President Langton Sichone said Zambians should unite and get the constitution as one man cannot defeat the entire nation by holding on to the Constitution.

The prayer meeting attracted scores of Choma residents who parked the church with others standing on windows.

  1. ZAMBIAN PEOPLE GO FORWARD AND STOP PF AND ITS THUGS

TO THE INCOMING PRESIDENT HH WE SALUTE YOU. REMAIN FOCUSED AND VISIONARY. WE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AT THE COURT IN LUSAKA. WE KNOW LIBONGANI STELLA HAS FAILED TO CONTROL PF THUGS. BUT I CAN ASSURE YOU JUST LIKE ADD PRESIDENT CHARLES MILUPI HAS SAID THAT WE NEED TO DO AWAY WITH DOCILITY. SATA MICHEAL AND HIS PF FAILED GOVERNMENT MUST KNOW THAT ONE DAY THE SO CALLED PEACEFUL CORWARDS – ZAMBIANS ARE GOING TO START TO DEFEND THEMSELVES. WE PRAY FOR THOSE HARMED AT THE COURT TO TOUCHED AND BE HEALED BY THE LORDS HAND. OUR GOD IS MERCIFUL IS GOING TO REDEAM US VERY SOON. AND VERY SOON. HE IS RECORDING OUR CRIES AND SOON THE ALMIGHTY WILL PUNISH SATA MICHEAL AND HIS UNCONTROLLED THUGS OUT OF AUTHORITY. VIVA HH.VIVA ZAMBIAN PEOPLE.

    • If you cannot convince govt to release Gabon report? How can you convince theto release the Constitution. Start small and grow!

  2. Wht ba Sata is doing is unhealth. He was suppose to release the Constitution.

Anyway I am enjoying Indian Politics and we ve a new Prime Minister- Modi….!!!!

    • BUT WHERE IS SATA?IN MY 45 YEARS OF I HAVE NEVER SEEN A MAN WHO CAN BE LOITERING AROUND HIS YARD WITHOUT VISITING OTHER PLACES FOR 2 WEEKS LOITERING JUST AT HOME

  3. It is like a patient Dr. relationship where a Dr. tells a patient that you are Ok, but it is the patient who feels the pain. The PF is telling us that we need food insteady of the constitution. This is a pure insult to the majority of the people of zambia and Some of the 42 % who voted for Sata in 2011 polls also need the New constitution so what is Sata’s point?

The Dilema that the PF have is that if they float Guy as president only Europe will vote for him if they are allowed to vote in Zambia. If they support Kabimba even ba Kaponya know him by now, the post will not make up the numbers. So PF is in a Fix. So Kambwili will try his luck but he will not go far as he has over rated himself. The result of this is that the PF is afraid of its own shadows.

  4. Glad to see ZADECO back. I miss Dean, Lucy Sichone, Charity Kanyanga, Julia Chikamoneka and many others in our current political dispensation..

  5. USELESS OPPOSITION. JUST YAPPING! DO NOT INVOLVE GOD IN THIS. IT IS NOT GOD TO FORCE PRESIDENT SATA TO RELEASE THE CONSTITUTION. THE PROBLEM IS YOURSELVES. YOU ARE SO DIVIDED AND ANGRY FOR POWER THAT YOU CANNOT MOBILISE ZAMBIANS NOT EVEN ON ONE ISSUE. TRUE ZAMBIANS DO NOT EVEN KNOW YOU AND HOW CAN YOU CHEAT YOURSELVES THAT YOU FORCE THE GOVT TO RELEASE THE CONSTITUTION? PF ARE AWARE OF YOUR USELESSNESS IN THIS MATTER AND WILL ONLY RELEASE THE CONSTITUTION ON THEIR OWN TERMS. USELESS SO CALLED COALITION .FUTSEKE AND DO NOT WASTE OUR TIME. SELENI BABOMBEKO!

  6. Zambians have always gotten what they want, on a silver platter. We don’t know how to fight for what is rightfully ours, even if that should mean being arrested for so doing. The opposition and other stakeholders can organize massive demonstrations all over the country with respect to the constitution. Let PF come out and show the world, their true colours. Mere talk won’t do.

  7. The law of the jungle is not right for the country. Government has mandate to conclude any unfinished business, such as constitution. Government also has mandate to initiate development programs, to complete them or to leave them for any government to complete in the context of democratic transition. The noise around constitution is totally unwarranted.

  8. THA PF ARE FINDING IT BITTER TO TAKE THEIR OWN MEDICINE. THEY WERE TOO QUICK TO PROMISE MANY THINGS EVEN WHEN THEY WERE NOT READY THEMSELVES. MUCH AS WE KNOW THAT THE CONSTITUTION IS IMPORTANT, IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THEIR MAIN FOCUS. LOOK, THEY ALSO PROMISED JOBS, BA-64 IN 90 DAYS. THEY HAVE FAILED LAMENTABLY. BUT IT WAS OF THEIR OWN MAKING. NO ONE FORCED THEM TO START CHANGING THE CONSTITUITION AT THIS RATE. THEY HAVE DONE IT BUT THEY ARE NOT READY TO CONCLUDE WHAT THEY STARTED. IT IS NOW TOO LATE. IF THE OPPOSITION WILL WASTE TIME ON THIS MATTER, THEY WILL FIND THAT 2016 IS AROUND THE CORNER. AND THE PF IS UNLIKELY TO LOSE.
