Most of these street kids actually have parents. I witnessed an incidence where this woman traveled all the way from Lusaka to Livingstone when she heard that her son who’d gone missing a few months back had been spotted in the streets of Livingstone. Most of these kids are just indisciplined chaps who do not want to be controlled or sent. I find it hard to feel sorry for most of them.
My sister fostered her friends child when her friend and husband died because no relatives were to be found.
When my sister died, all the child’s relatives popped out of the wall and fought my family for our businesses and properties claiming they were her relatives after all!!
So many irresponsible people having children.
