The Zambia Anglican Council (ZAC) has urged Zambians to mourn President Michael Sata in a dignified manner.

ZAC says Zambians should honour the memory of President Sata by mourning him in peace and unity.

This is contained in a statement issued to ZANIS in Lusaka yesterday and signed by the Five Bishops who overseer the Zambia Anglican Council.

They include Archbishop of Central Africa and Bishop of Northern Zambia Archbishop Albert Chama, Bishop of Central Zambia Derek Kamukwamba, Bishop of Luapula Robert Mumbi, Bishop of Eastern Zambia William Mchombo and Bishop of Lusaka David Njovu.

And the Bishops have called on the people of Zambia to continue praying for Acting President Dr Guy Scott as he oversees the affairs of the nation during this trying moment.

President Michael Sata died in London on Tuesday October 28 at King Edward the Seventh Hospital where he was attending a medical check-up from October 20.

The remains of the late President Sata will arrive in the country tomorrow on Saturday, November 1 at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at 10:00 hours.

The late President Sata will be buried on November 11 at the Presidential burial site at Embassy Park opposite Cabinet office in Lusaka.
