Eco Bank Zambia says it will live on with the legacy of late President Michael Sata of fostering good health and wellbeing of the vulnerable people in society.
Bank Managing Director Jolone Okorodudu said the late Mr. Sata’s legacy of championing good health for Zambians especially children should be emulated by all well-meaning Zambians.
Ms. Okorodudu said it is in this line that her bank remains committed to supplement government on the fight against preventable and curable diseases such as Malaria.
She said this when Eco Bank handed over assorted beddings worth thousands of Kwacha to Liteta Hospital in Chibombo district today during the Eco Bank day which was held under the theme “Stop Malaria”.
Ms. Okorodudu said malaria has continued to be a life threatening disease that affects many communities in Zambia hence the need for concerted efforts from both the public and private entities.
She said her Bank will continue to play its leading role in contributing to the prevention of malaria through its various corporate social responsibility initiatives.
And Liteta Hospital Medical Officer In-Charge Jerry Sinyangwe thanked Eco Bank saying the donation will go a long way in preventing the spread of communicable diseases.
Dr. Sinyangwe said Liteta Hospital has a huge population hence the need for other cooperating partners to come on board and assist the health facility in alleviating the various challenges the institution is facing.
