Dr Christine Kaseba and Miles Sampa leave Kabwe before voting starts

Share

Former First lady, Christine Kaseba, has returned to Lusaka without touching the venue of the Patriotic Front (PF) General Conference which is being held in Kabwe at Mulungushi Rock of Authority after hearing of unconfirmed reports of confusion at the conference.

Acting President, Guy Scott, who had earlier arrived in Kabwe with the Former First Lady Dr Kaseba , Justice and Defence Minister, Edger Lungu and Local Government and Housing Minister, Emmanuel Chenda, flew Dr Kaseba to Lusaka.

Dr Scott has since returned to chair an emergency Central Committee meeting at Kabwe Presidential Lodge.

The general conference has delayed to start after false information of reported violence reached the ears of the PF aspirating candidates who consequently decided to stay away from the venue of the conference.

However, the mood at the general conference is peaceful even after the PF delegates have been waiting for over ten hours to cast their votes for their preferred candidates contesting the top PF position.

Meanwhile, reports have emerged that Deputy Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Miles Sampa has withdrawn from the race and has since returned to Lusaka.

Six candidates except for Dr Kaseba , Mr Sampa and Selemani Banda, are in Kabwe waiting for the outcome of the emergency PF Central Committee meeting.

Voting for the party’s candidate has since been moved to tomorrow.

    • She shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Good riddance. She should be mourning the husband. So what has she achieved? I didn’t know some doctors can be this dull and lack sound judgment. The wise Step Son Mulenga Sata saw all this and made a good call. Any she is dull and lacks sound judgement and certainly not presidential material because , no normal wife with sound judgment skills would drag an ailing husband to New York just to receive an award.

    • mwaliteta is looks very tired and sleepy… violence is taking its toll,,,, ala iwe!,,, mama kaseba is already smiling like usual,,,, let the dead rest mwe!,,, mama kaseba moving on!

    • Muntu ni Lungu there rest are deviants serving foreign interest. Zambia deserves this patriot. If one succeeds to grab another person’s marriage and cheated Zambians on sickness, it doesn’t mean she deserves national leadership. We have lost and still losing billions in this needless undertaking because of the same Jezebel who has since abdicated her role of mourning only to turn into a Black Widow. In Zambia, we don’t reward such Jezebel spirits.

Muntu ni Lungu all the way.

    • With all this still Zambians want PF back in government. It is shame indeed. However, this time the majority of Zambians will vote wisely.

    • ZWD and Guy’s group are the ones spreading FALSE rumors of violence at the PF conference. The thing is,they have realized that the conference has turned into an Edgar Lungu function, hence their frustration and resorting to lies and panic.People have decided,no tricks will work, just accept defeat and the PF move forward. In fact, you can go ahead and resign like ka Wynter.

    • Am confused, Guy scot who was in Kabwe offered christine kaseba a lift enroute to kabwe, ok i dont get it why didnt they say Guyscot authorised kaseba to use the chopper.

    • Kaseba is right. Its semi- madness in my culture to bury your husband and then start taking arguments with other peoples such as politics. Kambwili says — who the gods want to kill they first bewitch!

    • She’s trying to be special and distance herself from the rest of the candidates. If they drove to Mulungushi, so should you. If they are sitting under a tree in the hot sun in Kabwe, so should you.

You asked to be considered – we told you the environment wasn’t right for a mourning widow. Now you want us to excuse you from sitting outside with the other candidates, Why? Because you’re a delicate widow? Because you’re a woman? be cause it’s too rough for you, or not luxurious enough?

Get thee to Mulungushi with the rest of the candidates. Sha!!

    • Lunga is a DOG , you foolish dog not all Zambians are PF so please tell your dull supports to respect another people . I wish you all bad luck with your camping hope you lose dog lunga

    • @wanzelu..you evil minded and lying scoundrel, up to your old tricks of deception like your leader HH…the conference you !diot is on and very peaceful..very soon we will be ushering our new PF President Lungu who will decimate your tribal gathering of tribal zombies that would gladly follow their zombie master (Halenya Hallenya) over a hill even if he led them that way..hopeless cretins you are you UPND !diots.

    • I sido Mark and watchdog has proved you guys wrong.I told you yersday that there was noise at mulungushi University, hence voting did not take place.Police and some ministers supporting Lungu allowed 8000 lungu caders to enter Mulungushi against the rule of the convention.Police is highly compromised and simbiakula has something to do with this.Early in the morning many pipo I talked to in mulungushi told me they are voting for Sampa. But they started leaving because the Lungu cadres who are not even delegates started harassing real delegates.PF is gone how will this thugs from LSK and CB campaign country wide.VIVA HH ,LUNGU will be too small. As writing these GUY scott has just entered Mulungushi University.VIVA HH.

    • Pabwato…we are unstoppable..after this conference the doubters will be shocked at the mass support we will drum up..all provinces will receive EL with thunderous cheers of support, even in Southern Province expect powerful rallies which will again be reflected in a strong result at the polls in Southern, Western and NorthWestern Provinces and other so called UPND strong holds..fact is even our Tonga brothers in Southern province know HH is not suitable to contest seeing he is an exploitative business man that cannot even take care of his own workers but treats them as slaves. HH is sadly being fooled by the likes of career failures such as Cornelius Mweetwa, parasites that are sucking HH of his ill be gotten funds..well as i’ve always said UPND is like feces that attracts flies. Fact!

  1. Kaseba, Munkombwe, mwaliteta, those are the faces of enemies of our country. never before has an African country been held captive and its people not grumble. Our freedom fighters would flog these deserters. Viva Zambia, Viva real candidates.

  2. This will require waiting for those on the ground to speak up. Reading between the lines will result in filling in the blanks with ‘speculation’.

One thing is for sure though… something is not right.

On the lighter side pictures 1 and 5 showing the candidates are stories of their own. Chuckle.

    • A Phiri anabwera. …when are you coming back home. …mwachona ku mangalande. bwelani kuno ku Zambia tiyambe kulima

      2015 vote PF

      I thank you

    • I’ve only just got to Mangalande, KB. Was home during the funeral. Watched the rise and fall of your guys and listened as many on the ground spoke of why they won’t be voting the way you think… anything else I can help with, boss, let me know. Oh I have some kwacha on me I’d like changed over – do you Katondo boys handle bizzness online these days? I am now working on emptying out my suitcase so I can come back like the song and share a beer with you… Cool?

  3. Now take a close look at these pictures. ..can you see violence. ….and all I can see is a group of well behaved Zambians…..

    2015 vote PF

    I thank you

  4. None of those baboons seated there is presidential material… all fit to be employed as bus conductors period

  5. Ba Naysayers balishupa. ..now you guys are busy scrutinizing the pictures…trying so hard to find faults in still images….awe kwena. …what’s wrong with the postures. ..what’s wrong with the sitting arrangement…but do you know where your losing candidate HH 2020 is….????

Most of you were expecting violence and watchdog published an old image trying to discredit PF…thank God LT has some fresh images taken today……yanzuna bola

    2015 vote PF

    Thank you

  6. Come sunday they is going to be Coronation of Lungu everyone seems to be dropping off like flies. I think its now certain that the real battle come the presidential elections is HH v Lungu. But what PF members see in Lungu I dont know. Other than the fact that he was appointed to be acting president by Sata is there anything else? He cant even control his people. In any case may best man win.

    • Lusaka boy,you might not be aware, but Lungu,Sata,Edwin Lifwekelo, the late Kalingeme…..were the founders of PF.Lungu is one of the smartest Lawyers in the country and has been Sata’s Legal aid for a long time. His loyalty was tested in 2006 when Sata did not pick him for the Chawama constituency election, but he stuck with Sata and PF.Thats what i see in Lungu to guarantee my vote if i could vote.

    • Zamcam..I understand and think that Lungu is one of those chaps who would grow into the presidency if given the chance. But I have doubts about his leadership qualities especially within PF. And also the current troubles within PF have simply convinced me that they is no one strong enough to tame those that cause confusion. The same could be said of MMD under the stewardship of Mumba. I guess if I was voting I would be very undecided simply because of the reservations I have about the presidential candidates. We wait and see how the campaigns unfold. But at this early stage am not convinced about the leadership quality we have pa zed.

    • Civil war is brewing. ..yes in your stomach. ..please find the nearest bathroom…

Why do you guys always hope for the worst. ..WOW…so so negative. …do you have family here in Zambia….come on guys…this is so sad man…very disappointing..

      2015 vote PF

      I thank you

  7. They are busy abusing government resources for the party convention. Why meet at a government presidential lodge for free when they are attending a party function? MMD pleasse file an injunction!

  8. A very special dedication to all….i mean all LT bloggers UPND..PF…MMD…FDD..

  9. Boys are being separated from men. How can a woman be between men it is a man between a woman. This separation was said by Edgar and his team. They after convention PF will be more divided and it has exactly what they said. But Gay Scat refused he should bare the consequences now. Delegates are shitting in the bush

  10. Imwe bantu. What can Vodka Lungu offer. Time is over for PF. It is HH’s tym. It was prophesied that PF wud be the shortest Party eva lived. Don’t u believe in prophesy? Aleisaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Tiye Tiye. PF have just caused their own confusion.

    • Jack the Ripper…..just because everyone is saying HH that doesn’t mean he should be the next president. ..i respect your decision very much and there is nothing wrong with HH as your preferred candidate. …but am appealing to you as a brother and peace loving Zambian. …
Please if you have a voters card….vote PF

      I thank you
      Katondo Boys

    • @jack the ripper
Please show respect for Lungu, he can offer mosi, vodka, castle, utujilijili, shakers, imbote, kachasu, Heineken, etc.

  11. Correct!!!, apart from being acting,he is also a drunkard and violent support!!Those who argue can you give us another point??

    • Wise…i think you spend too much time reading Zambian watchdog. …i don’t blame you…you not the only one who has been deceived by the watchdog. they have never said anything positive about Lungu….but wait and see when he becomes president..

      2015 vote PF

      I thank you

  12. It’s not impartial for Guy as the ‘referee’ to appear to be endorsing any candidate, as above, with Christine.

Don’t tell me she’s already starting to use the “I’m a girl and therefore delicate so treat me gently” card. Why does a GROWN woman, who thinks she has the balls to be the PRESIDENT need anyone to take her to the conference?

Get with the programme. Many people don’t want you (you know why) so don’t compound it by behaving different from all the rest of the candidates. Sha!

    • At least she has the looks of a President to be. If I were to crash into your boy EL at KMB, I would struggle to differentiate him from those Co boys selling merchandise……..shouting…Utulezaa batata naba Mayo tulebeyako!!

    • @Zezemba
With the nations coffers at your disposal anyone can (in your opinion) look presidential.
Looks quite sad and embarrassing from where I’m sitting. Those widow’s weeds are incongruent with the surroundings.

  13. No guys you misunderstand Kaseba. She has just gone to spend the night at State House, Guy Scott will send the presidential chopper to take her back to Kabwe tomorrow morning as soon as she has rested well and has had her breakfast at State House. Why should she spend the night at some filthy lodge or filthy conference centre with filthy delegates in filthy Kabwe? No, no, no, no, no, not me Dr Kaseba who was mixing with world royalties not too long ago!

    • She must vacate State House and move to the house her husband was building ahead of the other presidents at State Lodge. She ca not continue to enjoy those preveledges when she declared to stand. She is not special anymore. A witch of a woman!

  14. Street boy you haven’t argued!!! Convince me why we should vote for Lungu?? He acted for a few days, then battled with Scott, He a drunkard, he has supported violence and tell me what he has done in his constituency? Argue please!! you name tells who you are!!

  15. You are a FOOL @Katondo boys the whole of ths site is full of you CAMPAIGNING FOR PF.
Hahahahaha u smoke kanja NO MATTER WHT PF is loosing ths ELECTION either u choose EL or NOT.

  16. Street boy you haven’t argued!!! Convince me why we should vote for Lungu?? He acted for a few days, then battled with Scott, He is a drunkard, he has supported violence and tell me what he has done in his constituency? Argue please!! you name tells who you are!!

  17. @Katondo Boys

You know, there is such a thing as blogging too much.
Personally I now skip your comments when I come across them. It’s boring to read because you provide no further insights, added to that you even have the same valediction to every comment

    “2015 vote PF

    I thank you”

In short, we get your message (whether we agree with you is a totally different matter) so give us a chance to read new ideas from new people.

  18. Zambians can’t vote for HH because he has allowerd himself to be surrounded by a lot of criminals like William Banda the ‘father’ of Vigilantes during the Kaunda regime as well as in the days of Rupia Banda in the name of looking for ‘Power’. Tobecome President of Zambia. Never, never, never!!!

William Banda…, beating innocent Zambians for no apparent reasons but just in the name of UNIP and MMD and now you want to do similar evils in UPND….., Never!!!

Sorry HH you have to look at the people around you.

For now bwana HH, you better forget about Plot 1. That place is for PF for next 30 years at the least.

  19. Tell me by tomorrow sunday you guys are gonna have a president. I want to endorse him. We are late for campaigns. Feeling so peaceful now that Kabimba is not PF anymore. Ba HH kuwaya waya fye; still making empty promises in his stronghold. Kabiye ku Luapula na Northern province iwe. Useless no bukopo pamulu sha!

  20. Hh for 2046……those of you who are judging pf via watch galu are living in fantasy am just advising you come January you need to have a doctor to treat your shoke…..EL to plot one!

  21. Zambians are so easily deceived. A little ceasefire in the PF and they are full of praise and celebrating. Any objective person knows violence is now inbuilt in PF’s culture and structures. You vote the PF back into office at your peril. The same people ululating now, will be the first to mourn when the PF soon resorts to what it knows best. How on earth such a party can still be considered for power is beyond me. Shameless Kaseba and the other so-called PF aspirants are not presidential material or whatever else in government.

And what is with the use of government resources at a party conference? The chopper, for example. It appears some candidates are more equal than others. Seriously, we should not allow Zambia to be hijacked by this lot again.

  22. Pic #3 & 4. If the leaders don’day know where to throw their recycled bottles, how what hope do these PF leaders have for the general public to keep their surroundings clean? No wonder Zambia is dirty.

  23. the BLACK WIDOW, all those big smiles at parliament and everywhere she was flashing when she was with her late husband were smiles of joy knowing ‘HE IS DYING SOON’ shame, one must even wonder who killed MC Sata

  24. What a sobering realization for me as a Zambian. That these are the men and woman considered prime candidates to govern my áss for the next I-don’t-know-how-many-years.

  25. Journalists stop misleading people. Who is Zambia’s first lady if we do have one at all. You are the ones who make people have illusio66ns. Address the former first lady properly by her name or as former first lady or as PF presidential candidate. After 20th January tell us the substantive first lady or first ‘gentleman’ or whatever the substitute to a spouse is called. Stop confusing ordinary folks. Someone even think the current campaign is for 2016 and not 20th January 2014!

  26. This black widow is amazing! She does not deserve our sympathy. Incredible, it has been suggested that she vacate State House after declaring her candidature for the presidency and rightly so! She can move to the house her husband had been building at State Lodge ahead of the other presidents! What was doing riding the chopper with Roy Welensky? Shame, she must be treated like the other candidates, unless Roy has a vested interest in her candidature!

  27. PF why are you letting Scott play with you.He has failed to organise a simple general conference. We re now tired of you useless people my vote goes to HH.
