PATRIOTIC Front (PF) members in Kitwe district have vowed to commence campaigns for defence and justice minister Edgar Lungu.
The PF supporters who launched their campaign yesterday by driving round town center stated that Mr Lungu was the chosen and legally elected leader at the conference to be presidential candidate for the January 20, 2015 by elections.
The supporters who included Riverside ward councillor Christopher Kang’ombe said they were behind in terms of national campaign when other political parties had commenced campaigns.
Mr Kang’ombe said the recent happenings in the party regarding the selection process of PF presidential candidate had not raised public confidence that Acting President Guy Scoot was capable of managing the selection process well.
He urged Dr Scott to announce the PF presidential candidate “Mr Lungu” and also look at the limited time for national campaigns, future of the PF as a party in Government and the genuine demands of party members.
Mr Kang’ombe said it was time for Mr Lungu to be allowed to start his campaigns as the general conference rallied behind him on Sunday.
“The central committee members declared their support for Mr Lungu two weeks ago and on Sunday members of the National Council of PF and the general conference unanimously resolved to rally behind the Chawama Member of Parliament,” he said
Mr Kang’ombe said Dr Scott should call for a meeting with all PF party stakeholders to resolve any matters that had the potential to prevent the PF from proceeding with the campaigns for Mr Lungu as presidential candidate.
He said the acting president had the opportunity to help the PF towards achieving progress and avoiding unnecessary legal battles on the illegality of the process of selecting a PF presidential candidate.

Today Guy and Miles with their concubine Silvia will taste the bitter part of the law. Ignoring a court injunction is like spitting in the face of a Judge. We are living a constitutional democracy where “the crazy trio” can not plead ignorance of the law.
The court messenger who took the court order was harassed and possibly the document destroyed. That is equally a grave offence.
The Police knew about the court order but decided to also ignore the court and go ahead dancing the night away with the crazy trio. The convention will go down in Zambia’s history as one tainted with criminality and lawlessness.
We have been vindicated. Guy Scott indeed wants the nation to go into flames and like his counterparts, doesn’t care who is injured or dies! Cage them!

The team Lungu got an injunction against Scott and others. I will also get an injunction against PF Lungu and Samp stopping them from going on a lying spree before paying all the farmers. How can these good for nothing leaders use the money for farmers for Sata’s funeral as Dr Mulenga PS for Eastern Province disclosed? This brings me to these questions, A) exactly when did Sata die because we sold our produce to FRA in August and we are told Sata died in October. B) If PF Govt used our money as contigency why were all cupboard (sorry cabinet) ministers lying that sata was in good health and working when he was a vegetable?
The farmers will be paid this month. Death was an emergency man. It happens the same way in the family even if your father always makes a budget, some things just are too emergent than others. The principle: All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.
