The UPND Zambia United tour continued it’s campaign trail in Northern and Luapula Provinces.
UPND president Hakainde Hichilema, the Honourable Felix Mutati, UPND National Chairperson Mutale Nalumango and entourage reached Mpulungu, where residents had waited even as it grew dark.
This morning the team spent time in Sumbu for another rally, before moving on to Kaputa where another rally followed and Mr Hichilema was honoured with a meeting with Chieftainess Kaputa.
Mr.Hichilema reiterated that job creation, especially for the youths, will be one of UPND’s main priorities in government. Mr.Hichilema said he believes that every young Zambian should have the chance to succeed and that youth empowerment can be the engine of the economic development of our country.
He said there is nothing more demotivating and frustrating than for the young, energetic, and educated to have no opportunity to earn a decent living. Yet this is the current reality for many of the youths in Zambia today. Mr.Hichilema said this wasted potential is a loss to us all. It is a loss to Zambia.
Mr Hichilema said there are ways in which government can support young entrepreneurs and business people so they can set up their own ventures. He said UPND will endeavour to replicate some of the best practices that have been initiated in some countries such as Kenya where the government has instituted policies to procure goods and services from youth-owned businesses. The goal should be to create an army of entrepreneurs who will be able to drive the economy and even create more jobs for fellow youths.
Tomorrow the Campaign moves on to Mwansabombwe, Nchelenge, Kawambwa and Mporokoso. Rallies in Chinsali, Mpika, Kasama and Luwingu are planned for the weekend.

Here is the answer. Assume you own a company and you are employing somebody to run your company. You will surely look at the CVs of the applicants and you will pick somebody with a track record. So please look at the CVs of EL and HH and be honest with yourself as to who is a better person to rule Zambia.
HH/Mutati and Nalumango, the potential in this great part of Zambia needs to unlocked in order to improve people’s livelihoods. Northern Zambia has comparative advantage in being closer to the port of Dar. Improve production of high demand pulses and Livestock for export to the middle East, India and China.

We have lost two sitting presidents, its no joke. We might as well set up a funeral fund because we may make the same mistake as in 2011. The next one should be young and vibrant. A latest opinion poll indicates that opposition UPND candidate Hakainde Hichilema (HH) would win the presidency if elections were conducted today, relegating the ruling PF’s Edgar Lungu into second place by more than 20 percentage points.
The poll, which ran on Zambian Eye’s Facebook page, involved candidates from six major political parties that have confirmed participation in the January 20, 2015 presidential election.
The six are Hichilema, Lungu, Edith Nawakwi of FDD, Tilyenji Kaunda of UNIP, NAREP’s Elias Chipimo Junior and Rupiah Banda who is representing the former ruling party, MMD.
The UPND’s HH accounted for a whopping 57.7%,
While his closest rival Lungu got 35.6%. ,
Former President Banda came a distant third with 1.7%,

Count the heads of ppl between HH and the end of the crowd. You get to about 20 ppl max, count 20 ppl across and you get 400(where it shows the largest crowd). I can feel the love that people have, after 3 years of total suffering, people have released that you can not feed on a tribe but good leadership. People who were hopeless can now stand tall, God help us elect a leader that is going to bring sanity in the judiciary, police force, healthcare, education. Our great nation was headed the Zimbabwe way. Zambians are good people who won’t bit there brothers or sisters because they disagree on political issues, those who support disobedience should be caged. After elections Nsanda and his thugs should be sorted out. Time is coming when people should be accountable, PF didn’t do well in this area. Thanks to Guy Scott to have found himself in position where he feels it is free for all, a best president will be elected. Vote wisely, Vote HH.
I have no problem of tribe with HH. I believe he is a true committed and patriotic nationalist. The problem I have with him is his conflicting economic policy that is utopic and unrealistic. You cannot increase subsidies in all sectors while at the same time reduce borrowing and taxes. The equation does not balance. Sometimes you have to tell the people the bitter pill. Subsidies are harmful to the economy. Creating opportunities for business like PF is doing through economic infrastructure is the way forward for modern economics. HH is not a genuine economist and he is fraudster. Zambia will regret he ever entered the corridors of power.
The economy is at its best ever. Poverty has reduced during PF time. To pretend that HH can remove poverty with a stroke of a pen is pretentious. It is a gradual process of investments in economic infrastructure, skills development and change of mindsets. Most UPND supporters like Proud spend their time on Tonga FM (Sky), Millennium Radio and UNZA Radio talking, talking, talking and spewing0rubbish. When do they work? Go out there and see how rural youth are buying canters from vegetables, cotton and maize sales.
I remember Sata use to have the same crowds in southern province back in 2011 by came election day is got a misarable third place. He will hate them more come election result kabili we know HH destest them.

Prior to 1991 there were those who used to argue that UNIP would win the general elections based on the past experiences, alas they were dead wrong ! Yes UPND had lower votes in the past but that might be of little relevance in this election.

HH says that the country has failed to develop because we recycle leaders. he says people that worked in UNIP are the same now in the PF government. He is yet surrounded by the same people who will be part of his government if the majority Zambians side with him. he has realized that to be in government you need people with experience in running state affaires because running an economy is not as easy as managing your farm with 30 or 40 people and 200 animals. he needs to know that running a profit making business is not the same as running a service delivery oriented government with so many competing needs. if he can be realistic in his utterances and begin to talk about achievable issues I can vote for him

Be careful with tribal politicians. Recently HH was prevailing development in Chinsali by saying Sata is taking money from North West province to build university in Muchinga. Can this can kind of person he develop Luapula, Northern and Muchinga?
Just think of PF who have programs for the all provinces in country including Southern province.
