President Edgar Lungu says he has recovered and fit to discharge his duties as Republican President.
Mr. Lungu who arrived back home this afternoon from specialist treatment in South Africa has since castigated people who wish evil against one another and urged them to desist from such evil thoughts.
The Head of State said it was unfortunate that some people were wishing evil while he was in South Africa for medical treatment.
The President has since urged all Zambians to desist from wishing evil against one another but instead strive to love and cherish one another.
Mr. Lungu was speaking to journalists at Kenneth Kaunda International airport in Lusaka today shortly after arrival from South Africa where he has been receiving specialist treatment for his achalasia condition for which he underwent surgery.
‘I am much better now, the prayers were wonderful. Let us continue praying for each other and let us not wish each other ill,’ President Lungu said.
President Lungu added, ‘Don’t spread rumours that i have been referred to Pakistan or India, no please. I’ am grateful for the prayers.’
The Head of State was last week on Tuesday flown to South Africa where he underwent surgery at a hospital in Pretoria after falling ill on March 8 at celebrations to mark the International Women’s Day at the Heroes Stadium.
And Mr. Lungu has thanked all well-meaning Zambians who prayed for him during his stay in South Africa for medical treatment.
The President who was accompanied by First Lady Esther and his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda arrived in the country at 15:35 hours aboard a Presidential challenger jet.
He was welcomed by Acting President and Minister of Justice Ngosa Simbyakula, Secretary to the Cabinet Roland Msiska, several Cabinet and Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Senior Government Officials and Patriotic Front (PF) Members.
Defence and Service Chiefs were also present to welcome the Head of State.

This, by far, is incomparable to the amount he can fetch for your country in International summits/meetings as your representative, Do you hate EL in person or as president?
