Martin Daka reflects on Kabwe Warriors promotion

Kabwe Warriors veteran midfielder Martin Daka says the club worked hard to secure promotion to the FAZ Super Division.

Warriors returned to the Super Division after a one year absence having amassed an unassailable 70 points from 29 matches in which they registered 22 wins, 4 draws and 3 losses.

In an interview from Kabwe, Daka said bouncing back to the Super Division was not an easy feat for legendary club.

Mohamed Fathi’s side won promotion earlier in October with five matches left to play in Division One South.

“It is good to bounce back. As a team we are very happy,” Daka said.

“It is very challenging to get back to the Super League as you know Division One is a very tough league,” the ex-Nkana and Nchanga Rangers player said.

Warriors assembled a strong squad for the 2015 season that had the likes of Siloni Jere, Levy Zulu, Lameck Kafwaya and Idriss Mbombo among others.

“I think experience matters when it comes to football,” Daka added.

Meanwhile, Warriors’ last fixtures will be against Zesco Shockers , Matero United, Lusaka Tigers, Luena Buffaloes and Katete Rangers.
