Mag44 will be launching his second album titled “Brave Only” .The launch of the 14-track album will take place on December 4 this year at Cresta Golfview from 18:30 hours to 21:30 hours. Tickets are K100 each.
In an interview with the Weekend Mail, Mag44, (Magnus Mando) said over half of the tickets for the concert have been sold out and “preparations are going well”.
The gospel artiste, who is scheduled to perform live on stage with the Elect Band accompanied by opening performances from members of the Lota House music (Pompi, Abel Chungu, Seya, and Tio), urged his fans to turn up in numbers for the “awesome and unique” concert.
Other guest artistes scheduled to share the stage with Mag44 include Tim, Nalu, James Sakala, among others.
“Preparations for the Brave Only album launch concert are well. We initially intended to combine the album launch with the Brave Only book launch but the programme has changed.
Only the album launch will take place for now,” said the Vichani singer, who started working on the Brave Only project last year.
And the 2015 Grove awards Best Southern African Artiste nominee said the album title track Brave Only aims at inspiring citizens to be fearless in their quest to achieve their goals.
“Brave Only is a reminder and an encouragement for people to be fearless as they face life’s challenges. The greatest people in the world are the ones who were fearless and dared to achieve their dreams of contributing positively to society regardless of what they had been going through,” said the music producer who recently released a single dubbed Mwentula (smile).
Other tunes on the Zam-rock sound-inspired album include “I found Love”, “No fear”, and “Tamanga”, among others.

EVERY TIME I READ THAT SOME MUSICIAN HAS SOME NEW MUSIC RELEASE I TRY TO LISTEN TO THAT LATEST. BUT, I ALWAYS GET DISAPPOINTED THAT MY PREDICTIONS ARE ALWAYS TRUE. ONE CAN ALWAYS PREDICT THAT, “THIS IS SIMPLY ANOTHER PIECE OF RUBBISH”, AND YOUR PREDICTIONS WILL NEVER BE PROVED WRONG. I HAVE LISTENED TO THE ABOVE PIECE OF RUBBISH AND I FEEL LIKE- “WHAT A WASTE OF MY PRECIOUS TIME”. CAN’T WE HAVE INNOVATIVE MUSICIANS IN ZAMBIA? PLEASE, STOP FEEDING US WITH RUBBISH ALL THE TIME.
aaaaah Ba Peter. Try to encourage these artists. They have no industry to back their productions and some have only one talent perhaps just singing but dont have musical directors, producers and marketers to back them.
This particular one sounds quite original with live instrumentation like guitars. I know you want to diss the mediocre ones but please support the ones who are talented
Ba Peter, perhaps you would care to elaborate more by what you mean when you say “rubbish.” I have sampled the album and I think, in all honesty, its a good album; a serious improvement from his first one. I agree with “One Zed One N” that lets encourage the talented ones. Yes, they have a long way to go but there’s no denying that they are well on their way there!
