It is Government policy that men should be allowed to be with their wives during their wives delivery in the labour ward, where conditions are favourable for privacy and confidentiality, so that men should appreciate what their wives go through during labour which could help in increasing awareness on issues of integrated reproductive health practices which includes effective family planning among couples. Here Mansa Provincial Health Office Disease Control Specialist Dr. Victor Chalwe is sharing his personal experience of how he sat through the labour process when his wife delivered their first child. 1. Pics from 49 to 54

This must be a first for Zambia. For the First Time the President has not commissioned a Mall. This is unheard of. I’m sure this new Chigola Mall is the first one in Zambia not to be opened by the president. Looks like under PF we have started making progress slowly. First it was press conference and now opening a mall by somebody else other than the president. That is some progress

    • Good Observation observer! Am more concerned about allowing us African men into labour wards. I think those that go there will surely be destined for divorce. God forbid. But to see that happen and go back is not for African men. Am happy with my kids and respect my wife and we are past 2 decades in marriage and I pray god gives us many more, My opinion I don’t think you can be normal after seeing that and good luck to those that will dare. I wish you future peace. Just remember guys women are so much stronger than us in other areas including mental.
      God Bless

    • Everything in Zambia is staged. World toilet day – let build a latrine for show – instead of giving hard evidence of how the government is ensuring that everyone has running water and a proper toilet! Wait a minutes, we need a minister or president to commission the latrine.

  2. Photo #19 is terrible. Why didn’t sweep the little dirty? Looks like Nkhulumah buildings can’t match the two unis in Muchinga. LT, why didn’t you show the outward of the Chingola mall? Is it a late ba mall or not? The reverend is rejoicing yet he caused the death of someone by his greeted to cause a bye election in Livingstone.

  3. Perfect timing: Opening a mall at a time when Nchanga mine has just been shut down & thousands miners retrenched!!! Nxaaahh

99.99% of the goods sold in malls are imported from RSA & China. Show us more photos of factories, mines, markets etc, opening, not those styopet malls.

  4. Ati Farmers IMPUTES (inputs). Is IMPUTE not an insult in one of these languages?

The quality of Zambian education is showing itself in journalism

  5. PIX 27 TO 30. NOW, DOES IT MEAN THAT ALL ZAMBIAN UNIVERSITIES WILL JUST HAVE ONE STRUCTURAL PLAN- THERE WILL BE NO INNOVATIONS IN STRUCTURAL PLANS OF OUR UNIVERSITIES? YOU SEE, RIGHT FROM THE WORD GO ZAMBIA IS CASTING IN STONE LACK OF INNOVATION IN THE UP-COMING YOUTH AS THEY WILL BE SEEING THE SAME STRUCTURE IN ALL TOWNS, IN ALL PROVINCES. SO, THE UNIVERSITIES BUILDINGS IN THE FIRST PLACE WILL NOT BE TRIGGERING CREATIVE IDEAS. MAYBE, CAN THE GENERAL PUBLIC BE INVOLVED IN CHOOSING AND SIGNING OFF ARCHITECTURAL AND CIVIL ENGINEERING DESIGNS?

  6. I WOULDN’T HAVE HAD A PROBLEM IF THESE UNIVERSITY BUILDINGS WERE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS- WHICH THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE, ANYWAY.

  7. GOOD LAW FOR MEN TO BE IN LABOUR WARD DURING THEIR SPOUSES DELIVERY TIME. IF THEY CAN’T THEN LET THEM HIRE ANOTHER MAN TO MAKE THEM CHILDREN.
