Promoted FAZ Super Division side Lumwana Radiants are sweating to have their home ground ready to host top-flight matches.
Lumwana Grounds is still under rehabilitation despite the league starting this weekend.
But the club is hopeful that Lumwana Grounds would be fit in good time for their first home match against Red Arrows on March 26.
“We are still renovating our home ground but it will be ready before our game against Red Arrows,” club chairman Nkumbu Sinkolongo said.
“We are ready for the season which we expect to be tough,” Sinkolongo added.
Meanwhile, Lumwana’s maiden Super Division appearance will be delayed following the postponement of their Week One match against champions Zesco United.
Zesco are facing Horoya of Guinea in the CAF Champions on Saturday- the day they could have hosted Lumwana at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Lumwana became the first team from the North Western Province to secure promotion to the elite league after winning the Division One North campaign last November.
Congrats Lumwana. Stay up there boys, don`t be tourists.
Come-on Lumwana, you deserved to be where you are. Don’t be intimidated..
