Printing of Presidential ballot papers for the August 11th general election has started in Dubai, in the United Arab Eremites.

All the stakeholders who include representatives of the nine presidential candidates, civil societies, faith based organization and security wings witnessed the start of the printing process.

This follows the arrival of the PF Representative Ngosa Simbyakula who joined the rest of the monitoring team in Dubai.

Earlier, delegation leader Emily Sikazwe briefed Dr Simbyakula on how far the process has gone.

Dr Sikazwe said the printing of local government ballot papers that started yesterday is still underway while printing of ballot papers for the national Assembly has not yet started.

    • Upnd cadre a Mr mwanza duped his fellow cadres to register names as they appear on the nrc to receive free fertilizer from upnd hh. He later took the list to Fred post who published it in the tabloid as foreigners on voter’s registers. When the chiefs and head men were called they identified all those people as their subjects not foreigners. Most of them were Upnd cadres. This issue is now about to be concluded as police have finished the investigation and mwanza is now in trouble. HH and his charlatans have now resorted to other avenues after their scam has been earthed. When Ecz challenged them to produce evidence of their claim they were ndwii and refered to post paper.

    • @ HH Techilema, you are such a wanker….no tumakufi twabutuluka!!

    • Count down…aba bambi nomba bola yakosa….abepi pa bepi…abatali pa batali…Under 5 pali ba under 5

    • This sounds like rigging by Lusaka times `2015 presidential ballot` futi??… I thought it was 2016 presidential ballot

    • only in zambia were late comers are given great responsibilities and they continue to be late, the whole process or the nation is held hostage and we call it normal,i have concluded that all this late filing and late arrival in dubai it is part of the game plan, watch syambakula carefully.he is the one coordinating the rigging.INCOMPETENT PERSON IS BEING REWARDED HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN IT?

    • Which rigging? UPND is afraid its losing so wants to fool *****s like maguys and Rainman & the Magna carta

  1. Politics of Poverty, where the Zambian remains gullible to scamming by their so called “Dear beloved leaders” like the visionless Chagwa.
How else can one explain offering the tender to a more costly printer, when we are all aware Zambia is amongst the Top Ten hunger / poverty hotspots on the planet?? Wasteful Conmen, Mugufuli wouldn’t want to share a table with.
I’m now waiting for 1mbecillic P.F, cadres @ home & abroad to crawl out of the woodwork & begin justifying the indefensible.
    Bring it on Boneheads!!
    #P.F, KUYABEBELE

  2. SIMBYAKUNYA IS minister of Justice also aspiring candidate in MPIKA how could he monitor his own face being printed , nima rigging manje ayo

    • Get your facts right Anyoko. Dr. Simbyakula was supposed to stand in Muchinga but he missed the nominations. So he is not standing. Why do you people like crying foul when there is nothing? Typical of HH and team. All this is being done in the hope of making Zambians revolt against the outcome of elections but surely mwaloba ilyauma. Zambians are not gullible to fall for such mediocre thinking.

  3. Only in Zambia…where you award a Printer who is located thousands of kilometres away to print basic pieces of paper and add costs to fly and accomodate a delegation. If it was their own money they would have come up with a solution to print right there in Lusaka; where they print Secondary school exam papers.
When is this laziness and recklessness going to end…this generation of leaders is an utter disgrace…no pride whatsoever.

  4. Jay Jay, Zambians complain. SA you complained. Dubai you complained. Printing in Zambia you are going to complain more

    • We can just conclude that jayjay and the rest of the selfsame people are complainants.Printing in Zambia could have brought suspicions tantamount to conflict of interest.Imagine the selfsame ruling or opposition cadres could have been camping at the selected printing company premises, maybe even raiding them occasionally just to bully them like they do with cadre znbc staff. This is the best way of doing it away from the selfsame desperation of both ruling and opposition cadres. It is also another way of promoting transparency unless opposition cadres observing the printing are lazy bu3ms in monitoring.

      I thank you

    • @Observer
People complain because no one actually sits down and tackles this problem head on…the dollars we have wasted over the last 20 years on outsourcing we could have demolished the of whole Govt Printers to the ground and built a completely new ultra modern Printing House from scratch….even after August this issue will be shelved.

  5. The PF PROMISED US THAT COME 2016 ELECTION TIME WE WOULD PRINT BALLOT PAPERS LOCALLY.THIS COUNTRY IS NOTHING BUT CRAP.THAT’S WHY I STOPPED VOTING.

  6. WHEN I LOOK AT THE PREVIOUS ELECTION SCHEMES, LUNGU WHO PLAN WELL TO GO THROUGH BY ELIMINATING ALL THE MEDIA PREVENTING UPND, I WANT TO LET PF KNOW THAT HE IS OUT OF WORK. THEY HAVE GIVEN OUT A LOT OF PF LEGALIAS (FITENGE, T-SHIRTS, COURTS, HURTS AND MANY OTHER CLOTHINGS) BUT I DONT SEE MANY PEOPLE WEARING A SIGN OF REFUSAL BY MANY. THOSE WHO ARE FOUND WEARING PF LIGALIA ARE THE PF VIOLENT MAKERS BA SELAKO TUBOMBEKO. UPND HAVE RESOLTED TO DROPING THEIR LIGALIA IN FEAR OF PF THUGS BUT ALL ARE SAYING WE ARE JUST WAITING FOR THE DAY 11 AUG TO REMOVE THE BEAST, CHRISTIAN PRETENDER.

  7. Very soon this opposition will disintegrate and they will be returning to the PF Party in numbers! This is so because they have no substance to offer but greed and personal interests! If I were in the party I would deny them joining! The only goodness is that someone will also shut up – possibly for good!

  8. Thanks LT for the picture of the ballot, that red symbol stands out quite clearly with a hand shake of peace:-)

  9. Good! We want to see how Al Ghurair will print extra and pre-marked ballots for Lungu. We are on full alert and anxious to see how Lungu will distribute the Presidential ballots printed for him in Uganda. All eyes on ECZ, ZAF , PF etc as they coordinate their rigging plans. We are ready to fight and sabotage Lungu’s rigging plans. Forward with HH & UPND.

  10. Neganega style,i attended the rally in the copperbelt,I went there to see the person who brought misery in luanshya, after seen this person,I concluded that this person deserves a slap by not voting for him,if he brings money chew it and on 11 August forget him.

  11. Useless republic with low integrity and low scores on HDI that’s why they have to even print simple ballot papers in foreign lands.

  12. Who is footing the bill ?if I may ask……… delegates from various political parties in Dubai..lodging ,meals…general expenses.I hope it is not the tax payer’s money being spent. Can someone answer me please.

  13. Why is Chipimo on the ballot? He said he wasn’t standing…! Thats why I would vote for this election – it is smeared with corruption, rigging and more…!

  14. Published on January 3, 2016: Chipimo announced:
The ruling Patriotic Front is reaching out to the National Restoration Party leader Elias Chipimo to join their ranks. Chipimo, who withdrew from the 2016 presidential elections, is weighing his options ahead of the polls and the ruling Patriotic Front have taken the initiative to lure him to their ranks.

Top PF officials have been engaging the NAREP leader who has been dilly dallying although the key stumbling block has been the timing of the call. Chipimo has asked for more time from the PF top brass before hopping into the PF boat. NAREP has failed to make any real impact on the political scene since its formation despite the youthful flavour it brought to the political scene.
