    • I told you. If Edgar wins, am no longer Zambian. Anyone can take my 20 hactors. And this website will be no more without us..

    • The day when Zambians will realize that elections are not about who wins but about progress and future of a country, that will be the point at which Zambia will take a detour in the right direction. Right now the country is far away from that point. South Africa seem to have gotten to that point. Zimbabwe is realizing that.
I`ve lived in more than 6 countries. For 10 years, I`ve never had a neighbor from Africa, and I`ve enjoyed very good relation with my neighbors. So it saddens me to read and hear that tribe is so much a factor in Zambian politics. the other day I was on Market Street in California, and somebody asked me whether I was from Honduras. I jokingly answered, yes. Guys that tribal thing in Zambia is archaic. It is what is responsible for what Zambia is now.

    • HH got 12,229 in Ikelenge
      EL got 958 in Ikelenge

That is HH’s base and it appears a good reflection for to be leading.

The numbers will flip when we get to the North, East, CB, Luapula, Munchinga, Lusaka

    • I will gladly take your 20 hectares and say Big Thank You. Lungu is winning this race based on the input so far has come from PF strongholds and HH’s strongholds.

If HH wins, I can buy you 10 hectares of land.

    • Its time for a premature smile with this false positive while you can because in a brink of an eye, the people’s President ECL is coming in style to bag up a 5 year ruling mandate given in a popular vote. Forewarning is forearming.

    • PATHETIC IS THE ONLY WORD THAT COMES TO MIND: 8 RESULTS ANNOUNCED, 48 HRS AFTER CLOSE OF ELECTIONS WHEN ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION IS AVAILABLE BUT UPND WOULD NOT HAVE IT BECAUSE OF SUSPICIONS.
THE TRUTH WILL OUT. THEY CAN’T WIN FROM 3 PROVINCES WITH THEIR BLATANT TRIBALISM.

    • Ignorance is the best word to describe Lungu supporters. You will see how the economy is gonna plunge even worse. I cry for my relatives who still live Zambia. I love Zambia, it’s home but tribalism is destroying my country. My heart bleeds for my beloved Zambia but with these developments, no thanks, I will sit my butt right here in America. Michael Sata was the founder of tribalism & after his tribalist ass died, it has become worse.

    • HH will not win. WHY? Read this. Southern, Western and Northwestern has a total of 1,709,567 voters. All given to HH for tribal reasons. Eastern, Muchinga, Luapula, Northern has a total of 2,192,812 voters. All given to Lungu for tribal reasons. Central has 642,127 voters who will be shared equally. Meaning HH 2,030,631, ECL 2,513,876. These assumptions are based on the tribal voting promoted by southern province and all voters cast their vote. Copperbelt and Lusaka have a total of 2,153,866 voters. SO WHOEVER WINS LUSAKA & COPPERBELT WINS THESE ELECTIONS. SO YOU ARE AT LIBERTY TO PROJECT THE WINNER

    • @1.15 Masau. The situation is more complex than you are putting it. The figures you have given are assuming a 100% turn out. Average turn out on the Copperbelt is around 60% which reduces Lusaka & CB turnout to 1,292,320. This has been shared between HH & ECL in the ratio of 35% to 65%. HH gets 452,312 and ECL gets 840,007. Southern Prov turn out is at 80% which means 1,367654; HH gets 80% of this i.e. 1,094,123 and Lungu say 15% which is 205,148. HH gets 452,312 +1,094,123 = 1,546,435. ECL gets 840,007+205,148 = 1,045,155.
HH will end up with 501,280 votes more.
UPND has beaten PF both on voter turn out in their strongholds as well as increasing their vote in PF strongholds, while PF has not made any inroads in UPND strongholds. ECL shud have kept seasoned campaigners like Scott with…

    • Iyeee! God have mercy. Let these emotionally charged upnd cadres prepare fo a heartache that will take then another five-year period of having to face the pain of hakainde as a Kalusa leader.

    • PROPHET ISAAC AMATA 5Hours ago

GOD IS SPEAKING ABOUT THE AUGUST 11, 2016 ZAMBIA ELECTIONS.. WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING AND AFTER… AUGUST 9,2016 I Isaac Amata, currently on revival meetings in Pakistan was given a word again for Zambia ahead of the August elections.. “After the municipal elections prophecy fulfilment for South Africa with ANC winning majority and opposition gaining in key constituencies.. The message for Zambia came again! I saw victory in August 11 election for the incumbent Edgar lungu… A massive win! The opposition will reject the results! They will file court petition challenging the results and will lose again! Protests, violence and wanton destruction in between! I saw Shocker in the constituencies elections of Zambia just as l did for South Africa.. The…

  1. I wonder if he will come out and make another statement that these results are not credible now that he is leading? We never learn from ushering in suspicious characters in state house.

    • The lead is not that impressive after 5 out of 8 UPND strongholds. If this is the trend, HH might lose. All depends on how strong show was in 6 provinces where PF is strong and 3 provinces where UPND is strong (especially Southern Province). From the look of things and from PF already winning 80 MPs so far collated by media houses Mr. Lungu will make it.

    • @4.1, Not that he might lose, in his 5th time attempt he has out-rightly lost it with a humiliating defeat. In this election of massive turnout ECL has bagged Lusaka, all kola region constituencies: Northern, Luapula, Muchinga and Kopala except in “some” Ndola rural constituencies where ECL has ended with a narrowed the gap though. In Eastern province he has bagged up all constituencies including where independents have won. Wipes-off the run away margins HH has bagged in the Bantustan regions. Note that he has done very well grabbing all large Central Province constituencies except Kembe which HH has taken to add to the small ones. The most populated are Kapiri Mposhi, Kabwe Central and Bwacha constituencies. The defeat of HH is failure to bag any constituency with ran away margin in…

    • The defeat of HH is in failure to bag any highly populated constituency in Lusaka and Kopala with ran away margin because the 2 are the trump cards in this election. He way wipe-off all Bantustain regions, but ECL squares him off by bagging the Kola + Eastern region votes leaving Lusaka and Kopala determining this race.

Winning equation: Bantustan Vs. Kola +Eastern region=zero-sum game

The winner of Lusaka and Kopala lands a ruling mandate. ECL has comfortably bagged both.

    • That is what is annoying about this guy. When the result flip as soon as the PF strongholds come he will be crying foul. The same story every time. Muchinga and Eastern province have enough votes to offset S, W and NW. So if he loses CB and LSK he is toast. It is simple and he will.

    • you do not win in 8 results and leading is not wining…………these are his strong holds so he can lead. lets wait and see when we have 3 quarters of the results (wina azalila ati rigging)

    • 8 constituencies only and you telling someone to pack and go where? Yah, ba UPND cadres with you confidence kwena kuti mwansekesha ka.

You do realize that if the number of MP’s seats being purported to have been won by PF in these densely populated constituencies is what will bury UPND/HH. Because the likely that one would vote for a PF MP and vote against the top of the ticket, ECL is very slim. The usual vote hunting grounds for HH will soon dry up and you will hear he is again storming ECF totalling center. Ba author nabo ati “comfortable lead.” How can a 47, 706 to 41, 572 be a comfortable lead with 148 constituencies to go?

    • my question is if pf has scooped those seats why havent ecz announced them especially ones in lusaka since its near, what i think is the pf people are deliberately spreading those rumours on social media while engineering a way to justify how suddenly they will be on top

    • And found yourself a competent LAWYER!

You really are too dull about legal affairs to defend yourself when you are dragged into court for stealing K23 million of poor people’s money.

Take my advice and get a good lawyer RIGHT NOW.

Oh, and avoid any with a gap in their front teeth that are smelling of jamesoni. They have a history of fraud and stealing from their clients. Definitely not to.be trusted.

And if you do end up in jail, they might even steal the K23 million you have stashed away! If they tell you they come from Chawama, they are definitely not to be trusted.

    • @5.1Patriot Radio ichengelo has got men at all totalling centres from which they are broadcasting results as soon as these are confirmed. Kafulafuta has gone to PF both president and MP as example. Kafulafuta has voted yes 5000 against 4000 in referendum. Let’s just wait.

  2. CLAP FOR HH. HE IS LEADING, YES YES…………………………….. IN 8 OUT OF 156 CONSTITUENCIES KI KI KI KI KI……………….. NAPA FITA BA UPND. HAVE’NT YOU HEARD THAT PF HAS SCOOPED 80 PARLIAMENTARY SEATS SO FAR????

    • Ama elections yaku Zambia even counting votes is that difficult, seriously? The people have voted and chosen a President for the future of the country. But the PF government wants to Dununa Reverse the result. This is a pathetic and criminal story! To turn the beautiful republic into a domain controlled by retards were the brililiant are always screwed. If change can’t come now, then when? Cry the beloved country! Cry from the hills of the Kalene to the valley of the Kariba, from the wild of shang’ombo to the hills of the Michinga, from Chitapa from wense the sun rises to the vast waters of the Mweru wantipa, from the bright lights of Lusaka to the smoke that thunders in the Mosi o tunya, from the planes of the Kuomboka to dusty valleys of the Mutombo. Cry the beloved country and a…

    • @ bj

Please stop crapping in public. What do you know about EU tabulation? ZERO!!! Still believing that pigs can fly and tarmac taste better than relish?

  5. This is good to calm people’s nerves even if the lead changes…..strange when three areas were reported that ECL was leading PF supporters were quick to throw insults at HH, now statistical analyses are being used to shame UPND lead lol…..

    • Because of the appointing authority was PF ECL. ECL refused denied UPND the Zambian owned media – ZNBC, allowed his ministers to use government resource for campaigning, used cadres to overtake powers from the police, used ZAF for his cadres which was wrong.

  6. ******LATEST******

    Ba Zambia we love you!!!!

PF wins 80 seats our newly elected MPs have confirmed their victories!

PF has between 50 to 55 percent of the counted vote- awaiting ECZ confirmation!

Otherwise if this was football ninshi PF are ahead by a goal and we have already passed extra time, the ball is still in possession of the PF goalie, we have only 5 seconds left and the REF (ECZ) are checking their watch, they are now about to blow the whistle – Time up…the Champions have defended their title as the Ruling Party of the Republic of Zambia.

Ba Zambia we love you!!! Nomba Tuwombeko!

  7. Hech Hech is not wining EL is coming back strong!.. Nostradamas ulikwisa which province and city I’ll drive by and pick up the title deeds for your 20 hctrs!

  8. You PF supporters are total *****s. How do you support a drunk who has helped bring the economy down. Guy clearly told you he had no vision. You guys are voting for the tribe & not the person who has the country at heart. Ifintu no Lungu!! *****s who don’t know what development means. Wake up Zambia & see the sunlight

  9. Lungu has not had enough time to steal. As soon as he steals enough, he will be out while the rest of the citizens are suffering. The Zambian economy is at its worst since 1998 while you PF cadres are celebrating your *****ic president who has no vision.

    • Well said my brother and god bless you. It is sad for to read people’s comments insults the authority when they have run away Zambia to go and clean toilets and wash dishes in other countries. Even if HH came into power he will not change their lives. Don’t be cheated you lazy people.

  10. The best way to silence a loser is what ECZ has done by announcing this temporary lead for HH

By the time you realise that you are not winning it will be embarrassing to start opposing your own loss. ECL so humble as ever!!!!

  11. Maturity is still far with most of us Zambians. If we are Democratically mature we would not hide our real names when we are contributing to the issues of our own country. Fake name means fake cobtribution..

Zambia is not a politicians country it is for all Zambians. Some of us we behave as it we can only breath when certain individuals come into office. God is in control dont forget that.

Comoare at the moment malawi, zimbabwe, mozambique, DRC to mention a few. Dont you think Zambia has special blessngs. They all depend ob Zambia for much of their basics. Why would God permit change when things are going as indicated by other countries that deoend on Zambia for food.

Lungu is going through by Gods choice not ours. Lets Love each other and stop insults.

    May God heavily and…

  12. HH’s lead should not make any meaningful Zambian worried,we are coming back UPND will always cry foul he is used with childish behaviour.Northern,Luapula CB,Muchinga,Eastern Lusaka we have all with us tiye nayo LunguMan of the people.Tule Dununa abaice balelila

  13. Whoever produced this article at LTD needs his head examined. 47000 against 41000 in 8 constituencies terms it comfortable lead. We still have 150 constituencies results yet to be announced! The writer should also have paid attention to ecz chairs announcements. The next ecz update is at 11 hours today Saturday and not Sunday
Please do not be excited over nothing and don’t mislead us.

  14. Even if you want HH to win the presidential election, this is too early especially that PF have already won many parliamentary seats. The results will definitely change in favor of ECL after more constituencies are counted. It is delusional to think HH can win in the areas were PF candidates have won. The only hope for UPND is that HH collects as many votes in those PF strongholds as much as possible and sweep in their strongholds. Otherwise it seems PF has carried the day again!

  15. In PF strongholds Lusaka,CB and Northern Provinces this election was a referendum on Chagwa Lungu as President of Zambia. The majority of voters did not like Lungu the person. People resent Lungu’s thieving record, his violent behavior, his leadership skills, his association with the hated RB etc. People blame Lungu as a person for all their hardships and troubles. People realised that Lungu has poor Leadership skills and he himself admitted he was visionless and clueless about how to fix the broken Zambian economy. Overall Zambians had to choose between HH and the violent Chakolwa Jameson Lungu. They chose the Sober, Economist, Farmer, businessman and visionary HH. We know the results of the Presidential Vote and all the Observers have the results. HH won the elections. ECZ and…

    • Zulu you are a fool. are we not the same Zambians that used to insult Mwanawasa? you people need to get a life and manners. when did it become ok to insult your leader whether you like him or not? are you squeaky clean yourself? let he without flaws be the first to cast the stone at ECL. practically every Zambian drinks. even the late MCS used to drink, FTJ used to Drink, RB used to drink. so then what is your problem with ECL? as a Zambian who drinks I say you are full of BS! walitumpa. I drink but I live a responsible and decent life wechipuba. kupusa. just use facts not vaupuba ati Jameson. 80% of Zambians drink, are you saying we are all useless? are we not the same electorate that is making important decisions yet you call ECL useless for drinking? foolish people.

    • It is sad to read such comments from a person like you. It confirms how bitter you are that you were not given a job. Shame dude. Try HH maybe he may feel pity. But with your behavior its better he doesn’t consider you because you might call him a liquidator who leaves people jobless and buys more cows for his family.

  16. Too many cadres here!!! Two Luapula two Eastern two north western one Copperbelt and one western constituency announced. Only eight announced. 5 from perceived PF strongholds and 3 from perceived UPND strongholds. HH leading. Those are the facts right now. Too early to start arguing. Problem is too many cadres here.

  17. Can someone please educate me on the tangible evidence of a PF middle aged man caught ‘pants down’ rigging at Mulungushi Centre yet this same PF claims to be ‘very comfortable’ with winning this election. This does not add up for sure!!

  18. Zambia is confirmed bi-polarized.

Northeast (kola descendants plus tribal cousins in the East) v.
    Northwest (Greater Barotse)

Like oil and water, you use both but yet the difference can still be discerned.

  19. “All The Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr

“The Sixth Extinction” by Elizabeth Kolbert

COMFIDENCE YAKWA MALINSO HH ITS EDGAR LUNGU WHO HAS WON BY MARGINS ITS LIKE READING THESE BOOKS AND ENJOYING THE READING HOPING ITS REALITY

PRESIDENT LUNGU IS ENJOYING READING THESE BOOKS AT STATE HOUSE NOW AS HE WAITS FOR HH TO REACH STATE HOUSE BUT EVERY TIME ALESA BUT HE NEVER REACHES JUST LIKE THIS TIME AS LUNGU MOVES FOR A WEEKEND CELEBRATION WITH ZAMBIANS AT HEROES PLAYING WITH DIPLOMATS AND THE CHIEF JUSTICE TO THE MUSIC BY CHESTER

  20. I am comparing last election to this one. It appears the trend hasn’t changed. eg Kalulushi HH had 11,000 plus and this time he’s got around the same figure?

  21. @arm archaic chair.

we are reaching boiling point with your calling tonga people tribal.

trust me at this rate you and me might rip each others neck apart.

there has never been so much greed and pilfering practised by a certain tribe in this country. they have schemes their way to 65% of national jobs at the cost of all other tribes. how do they call tong tribal.

even lungu doesn’t like them and chose a veep from our land whom he could trust.

whoever wins…..lungu or hh……he will sting your bums you dogs.

  22. TO TELL A PERSON HONNESTLY THAT HE CANNOT WIN IS HELPFUL AND IS GODLY IN ZAMBIA MPS ARE VOTED TOGETHER WITH PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE EXCEPT THE EXTREAM IN CASE OF EXCEPTIONAL CANDIDATES AS SEEN IN THE SHOW BY VOTERS FOR THIS YEARS INDEPENDENTS IN PF STRONG HOLDS BUT EDGAR LUNGU GETTING THE PRESIDENTIAL VOTE UNLIKE HH

80 MPS SO FAR HAVE WON SURELY HH CANNOT WIN ITS AN APPEARSMENT FROM ECZ LIKE IN THE MOVIE DEPICTING A SUCCESSFUL ATTEMPTER WHO ALWAYS COMES BUT NEVER REACHES

  23. This time around I would just tell hh to leave these zambians who are used to suffering to continue with lungu. They are not normal. Let lungu amass wealth while they cheer him loudly like mad people they are!

    • Can you imagine, they are so dumb. They are saying they have defeated HH, they can`t realize that they have just defeated themselves. At the end of the year HH`s net worthy will be tripled, while they will be wallowing in poverty for next 30 years.

  24. The only reason HH has been losing and will keep on losing is the nature of a Tonga as a being. It’s hard for Tongaz to accept people from other tribes, To them its all about Tonga and Tonga alone. Check your attitudes towards other tribes before vying for the highest office. Too much segregation, you will always be having Tonga president in your dreams because you are not the majority. Even in church ( SDA ) tribalism is at its peak, in class at UNZA and everywhere. Something is wrong with you Tongas, Change if you are to make a national leader. For now you can keep on hallucinating

    • If you were smart you should be asking yourself how Lungu will change your life. You Zambians s are just a bunch of hypocrites. You call your country a christian nation and yet you exhibit so much hatred—-just over an election..

    • I don’t hate Tongas but the way they gang up against the Bembas that scares me. If you get a Tonga as manager he’ll harrass you and surround himself with his people. Unfortunately this hatred against bembas have been taken up by my relatives in North Western. But for them it’s understandable as this feeling was created by the colonial whites by giving clerical jobs to bembas while NWP brothers were subjected to menial jobs such as cleaners and house servants

    • @44WailingHHand Stupid Tongaz,

Your hatred for the Tonga people is alarming yet you want to portray yourself and your tribe, whatever it is as blameless. You have said no Tonga will ever be president of Zambia because they segregate other tribes. Among other things in your rhetoric you have even mentioned the SDA church as a place where Tongas use their segregation. The SDA church is everywhere in Zambia and it is not possible for any tribe to use it in your cheap and dirty politics and thoughts.
Unfortunately you have not said what perfect tribe you are but from your sentiments I can only guess that you are from the tribe that have mockingly called Tongas ba kachema without any shame, yet the same ba kachema produce and feed Zambia including yourself. You are known to survive on…

    • Wailing HH you are a total moron. I’m half Tonga half Bemba & I disagree with you. The difference is that Tongas are hard workers & Bembas are lazy & have a superiority complex when the own nothing. I’ve been to southern & Northen provinces & the difference is like day & night. Quit being a tribalist yourself. Why do you people even call yourselves Christians when you are so hateful

    • He is busy punching the poor wife because of his loss. His dreams of becoming president by poisoning HH are now in tatters. He must be so depressed that he might actually lose some weight so that next time you see him you wont recognise him. Imagine forging a grade 12 certificate for nothing!

  25. ECZ announcement of results 24hours after voting is simply an exercise for the observers because winners from various parties already know the results. The winners, be they parliamentary mayors or councilors campaigned on their party manifestos. So where from will HH get the numbers from????

    • Kapema, you are going to learn a lesson too that Lungu is not the right candidate. Time will tell & unfortunately, even the wise who voted for HH are going to continue suffering in poverty under Lungu you are pathetic
