Police in Lusaka have charged and arrested Lusaka lawyer Martha Mushipe.
Ms Mushipe who is a senior legal counsel for the UPND has been charged with being in possession of seditious materials.
The charge relates to a confidential document entitled Strategy of domination PF against opposition UPND 2015 – 2016 and beyond” which among others involves use of violence against the opposition.
The document is alleged to have been authored by former Justice Minister Dr Ngosa Simbyakula and two others.
This is after her lawyer firm located at Millennium Village Complex in Lusaka was searched by police in April this year.
Her lawyers told Journalists that Ms. Mushipe has been denied police bond and that they have now sought the intervention of the Lusaka Magistrate Court to secure her release.
Nothing seditious, that document was published online way before the conducted search. It’s time to move on by mending the economy and less politicking. We are just coming from a torturous election; we need to do away with perceived political arrests.
We need to stand up against this injustice. Next time it will be your mother. Lets all right thinking Zambians stand up for our country before its too late.
This has come as a no surprise to me. Martha Mushipe is one of the few iron ladies we have in Zambia. She is the one who told off Priscilla Isaacs (the disgruntled lady who has continued using the name of a white man despite being dumped several years ago) at Mulungushi conference center in presence of both the local and international election observers after giving accreditation to a Ugandan international to have unlimited access to the server room which is the results totaling center to favor Chagwa or Chapona. She is the one who grilled corrupt Chulu (the shameless dude who announced to the whole world that Chagwa had more votes than the total number of votes casted in Lundazi). If you didn’t see this arrest coming then you are either blind or f00lish.

I have this odd feeling that things won’t be okay in this country. It is pretty strange. The feeling is further punctuated by this weird vision I had in which God had unleashed his fury on Zambia for the injustices that are going on, corruption, moral decadence and treachery.
In that vision God had unleashed a heat wave that was followed by violent tropical storms that destroyed property and claimed many lives. Soon after that disaster, floods imaged which caused further damage to property, killing more people and leaving many destitute. Many people sort refuge in temporal shelters provided by the state. But life there was unbearable as the government was bankrupt and could not provide food and sanitation. People starved to death. To cap it all, cholera epidemic…
You can tell a true prophet because they do not put their ‘feeling’ into it. This is just your psycho head messing with you or your attempt at messing up others. There are others here who have insight, but they ‘seek’ it from God and relay without personal feelings. No, Zambia, is in a state of grace, in which hope is flourishing. Even in the bible God’s people fight wrong, and our Father in Heaven is the best Warrior in any town, the finisher of the war of Justice.
