Mighty captain Bwembya certain they will survive demotion

Mufulira Wanderers captain Taonga Bwembya believes his FAZ Super Division side will survive relegation.

Relegation-threatened Wanderers are fourth from the bottom of the table with 28 points from 28 matches played.

In an interview in Mufulira, Bwembya said Wanderers players will strive to ensure that the legendary club maintains its status in the top flight league.

“We are working so hard to ensure that this team does not go down,” the defender said.

Wanderers have six matches to play in the season.

Bwembya attributed Mighty’s poor display this season to frequent changes that have been made to the technical bench.

Wanderers have so far this season hired coaches twice after the resignation of Manfred Chabinga earlier in the year.

“The team has been full of changes. Every time we are learning new tactics and new systems of play so according to my observation we have lacked consistency,” he noted.

Bwembya is urging the Mighty faithful to rally the club.

“To the fans let them continue supporting this team. They are the 12th player and we need their support in this moment more than ever,” Bwembya concluded.
