Dr Kambwili says the article has been authored by unscrupulous people and that such statements are meant to create tension between him and the Tongas.
He has since apologised to the Tongas for any discomfort that the false story might have caused to them.
Dr Kambwili has since reported the matter to police headquarters.
And Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has confirmed receipt of a complaint from Dr Kambwili.
Ms Katongo said the Police are taking the matter seriously as it has the potential to cause anarchy in the country.
Meanwhile, Dr Kambwili has said that opposition UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema and his deputy, Geoffrey Mwamba should not expect to go scot-free whenever they break the law.
Dr Kambwili who is also Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services said that the police are justified to have arrested Mr Hichilema and Mr Mwamba for inciting people not to recognise a legitimately elected government.
Dr Kambwili said that police are mandated to arrest any law breaker regardless of their status in society adding that the two UPND leaders are not above the law.
