Mabumba Parish priest Patrick Kabaso said President Lungu deserved suport as he had shown commitment in transorming people’s lives.
He said Mansa was greatiful to the Head of State and government for the developmental programmes and maintaining peace especially after elections.
Speaking when he delivered a sermon during a mass attended by Minister of Helth Chitalu Chilufya yesterday, Fr Kabaso said it was only logical for anyone to respect President Lungu by helping him through prayers alas the country faced some economic challenges.
He said there was also need of reuniting different political groups so as to maintain the One Zambia one Nation motto.
“We hear there are some people who have not accepted that we have a President and a government in place.
This is unfotunate but all we can ask from you as people in govenment is to embrace even those that differ with you politically,” he said
He said all well meaning Zambians should put the elections behind them and suport the elected leadership.
The parish priest also thanked President Lungu for apointing seven ministers from Luapula.
Speaking after the sermon, Dr Chilufya thanked the church for the pivotal role it played in maintening unity and peace after the elections.
He thanked the people of Mansa for giving him and President Lungu a resounding vote during the August 11 elections.
“For the respect you gave Preisident Lungu and me for voting for us, we I am here to asure you that the promises that we made during the campaign will be fulfilled,” Dr Chilufya said.
Dr Chilufya said he with the local leadership in Mansa would soon convene a youth meeting to chart foward the welfare of the youths as emphasised by President Lungu.
He said the meetings will among other things discuss the creation and development of youth stills training centres.

PF prayers are about violence against the opposition and nothing else matters, only mediocrity.

Why would a perfect God be influenced by prayer when by definition he knows what he is doing better than we do and knows exactly what is going to allow to happen in the future. Ask the client ( poor woman he represented) whose money he stole to pray for him. Zambians (majority) whose votes he stole will never pray for Lungu. They are cursing him everyday. You have to listen to the rumours and you will believe Zambians do not like this man. And the reason is simple. They did not vote for him.
