    • Good move zamtel congrats but
      1) Latest technologies call for high tech and expensive gadgets-devices. How are you gonna bridge that network superiority/end user device costs gap?
      2) The majority of Zambians are techno-shy. Did this technology analyze the target market critically
      3) What’s is your cost/ benefit ratio of your latest service roll out.
      4) Are the majority Zambians enthusiastic about this or just wondering about the tech jargon at play.
If you have credible answers to these few concerns, you just hit the jackpot, congrats.

    • You have to give it to PF, they know how to put public funds into their own communities. Why Copperbelt and not even Lusaka? Any future non-Bemba government should replicate this lesson and starve the opposition areas.

  1. Wife has been a long standing woman for RB so he gets by but he is a crook and has long fingers the entire ‘deal’ above is a deal….he has benefited so we would urge a forensic audit done now and then lets see if the ACC will act since their President has so directed

  2. Negative comments all the time . Looks like you guys learned to read and write from KMB and not normal schools.

  3. ba LT unless you were a science-technology media house this type of reporting leaves much to be desired for a layman. When are we going to have a cadre of specialised writers in fields other than politics in this country? like many others before him/her on similar subject this reporter has literary copied and pasted what the specialists had written or said without bringing out substantial information for the reader. with such scenario we shall forever remain restricted to consumers instead of being participants in technological transformations

  4. Good job ZAMTEL! We don’t need losers to tell us how things should be run! You can go and control your killer-mobs in Namwala! God bless Zambia! Well done ZAMTEL!

    • @ Victor
      1. Out of three providers of mobile telephone services, which one merits title of “LOSERS”?
      2. “Killer-mobs”, do you refer to the ones in uniform or wearing PF regalia?

    • The language of hypocrites. For them God is just another tool, like the Police Force or Judge Anne Mwewa, for bashing opponents with.

  5. Is it just me or the reporter missed out Ndola as one of copperbelt towns that will benefit from this tech advancement? Well done Zamtel, please roll out 5G asap.

  6. ZAMTEL, WITH YOUR ENGINEERS AND INFRASTRACTURE WHY NOT DESIGN AND DEVELOP A DEBUT PHONE AND KEEP ON IMPROVING IT LIKE THE HUAWEI PHONE. WHEN HUAWEI FIRST STARTED IT COULD ONLY BE BOUGHT IN CHINA. TODAY, HUAWEI IS COMPETING WITH ANY PHONE YOU KNOW ON EARTH. ZAMBIA FAILED EVEN TO MAKE A VERY SIMPLE TECHNOLOGY LAND PHONE. HERE CAME MOBILE PHONES STILL THE ONLY ZAMBIAN PHONE COMPANIES CAN’T DESIGN AND DEVELOP A LAND PHONE- LET ALONE A MOBILE PHONE. SIMILARLY ZESCO COULD HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURING STOVES. GUYS, WITH MFEZ INDUSTRIAL INFRASTRUCTURE START MAKING PHONES AND STOVES AS ENGINEERING COMPANIES
