Players at FAZ Super Division club Nchanga Rangers on Monday staged a protest over unpaid wages.
Players say have not been paid five months salaries and winning bonuses for four games.
They staged a training boycott and are threatening to boycott the upcoming Super Division match against Kabwe Warriors.
“We are working together as players, today we stormed the secretary’s office demanding clearance letters, because we want to go and play elsewhere. We are serious about that.”
“We are tired of stories, we want to leave so that the chairman and his executive members so that they play since they are the ones benefiting,” one player said on conditions of anonymity.
Earlier in the day the irate players stormed Konkola Copper Mines office to seek answers from the sponsors but where turned away security officers.
Club chairman Yoram Kapai has pleaded with the players to be patient as the will paid their monies soon.
“KCM are still the sponsors of the team we are in discussion with them over the players’ money they will be paid soon, they should just bear with us,” Kapai said.
Protests over unpaid salaries are not new at Nchanga.
Sonta pamene unachaila bola
This company called KCM is gone, no what what people try and portray this company is sunken to the bottom not because of anything other than “GREED” by the majority share holders who is one” MAN”, Agrawal, the Zambians are just watching…………….they are Christians for their reward is in heaven, what a foolish*** position to take!
These players must be given their arrears as well as clearance letters. They have achieved nothing and they are running the team into relegation.
GIVE THEM CLEARANCE LETTERS AND LET A NEW TEAM BE FORMED WITH BETTER PERFORMING PLAYERS. SO MUCH MONEY IS SPENT BY KCM BUT THERE IS NOTHING TO SHOW FROM THE TEAMS PERFORMANCE APART FROM PERPETUAL LOSSES.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…………….???? Why are they not paid in 5 months? Does not sound right from the word go!
Americans can never go just one day without unpaid wages. What a difference!!!!!
