Patriots for Economic Progress (PEP) President Sean Enock Tembo has charged that the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) lacks diplomacy.
Tembo noted that he has always considered the stance taken by the UPND not to recognize President Lungu and his Government as too radical and it had far reaching consequences.
He stated that as things stand now, the UPND is on a path of self-destruction and by 2021.
Tembo is of the view that if the UPND had swallowed whatever injustice with a grain of salt and took the rest in their stride after the 2016 elections by 2021 opposition UPND led by Hakainde Hichilema would have won by a landslide owingto the current mismanagement of the country by the Patriotic front (PF) under president Edgar Chagwa Lungu.
And the PEP President said UPND’s arrogance will cost the party dearly and insisted that by 2021, UPND will be weak from fighting these daily side battles that it is unlikely to put up a decent performance in the general elections.

“The UPND is on a path of self-destruction and by 2021, very little of it may be left” Tembo said

    • They are proud for nothing. Honestly speaking upnd is a danger to Zambia. Am scared these people can kill. Look at their party color. That color red speaks a lot. Let’s pray for Zambia and EL.

    • @Dalisoul kikikiki nice question… seerious comment i think it is time that the blaim shuld go on a wrong dower.. UPND is wrong they have done a lot of wrong things and they should be blamed I dont care even if they are in opposition.

  1. I hope upndonkeys will get sense from PEP President article. This is not academic but proper analysis. It is already weak na Tembo sir.

  2. It’s a loose cannon at the moment, i agree. Who can help re position this party to its former glory ! Can someone address the rot before PF take to irreversible plunder.

  3. This analysis is not entirely true. The one who is losing in all this is the PF.By the time they wake up it will be 2021 with nothing to show for the 5 years except that HH was arrested for treason & released with no TREASON evidence!. The end will be people concluding that he was just being persecuted for standing up for them & give him a sympathy vote as christians in a Christian nation.

    • EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS THAT HH IS BEING TAUGHT A LESSON FOR BEING SO ARROGANT, PROUD AND CHILDISH. THE TREASON ROUTE WAS THE ONLY BEST WAY FOR SUCH A MANIPULATIVE CHARACTER TO BE CORNERED. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT AT THE END , HH WILL NOT BE FOUND WITH THE TREASON CASE. BUT HE WILL HAVE BECOME A BETTER CITIZEN.

  4. By 2021 upnd will be a shell of itself.politics are not done this way.if all those 48 upnd mps dressed in black where from 6.5 provinces,a lot of them could have lost their seats in 2021 because many voters in those areas do not support nonsense!!!
There can not be a Govnt in place minus a dully elected president in any country.even those upnd mps cannot be in parliament minus a president in state house!!IS THIS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND?TRIBALISM HAS BLINDED ALL IN UPND!!
Anyway, let upnd finish itself because they dont listen. In bemba they say “munshebwa aile namafi kubuko”.So in life its very important to get an advice.
INSTEAD OF THINKING SERIOUSLY ABOUT WHAT MR TEMBO HAS SAID ABOVE,ALL UPND WILL LOOK AT IS HIS TRIBE AND REJECT THIS GOOD ADVICE!!our economy under PF is rough,so upnd…

  5. The PEP leader sounds like the young man who bought ECL hat during the PF fundraiser. These young people are following blindly. The can’t see the end from the beginning. So brainwashed they can’t see beyond their noses.

  6. What magic has the cartel done? When they were controlling successive govts, the economy seemed to be doing fine going by the availability of the Kwacha but now that they have been shut out even Kwacha has become very scarce to find. Could it be that they have stashed away their money to some hidden places or have they have just pronounced a curse as I hear that they are very big satanists in the under world.

  7. In fact children in southern province from the ages of 15 were told by cadres to exaggerate their age so that they could get NRCs and vote in the just ended elections. The repercussions now are that they will loose out things like being in under 20 activities, sponsorship or recruitment in the police and army by the time they complete school. Please government should consider giving these innocent souls a second chance.

  8. KULI DUUNSULA CHILA JISA MANINGI ALIMWI KULI BWAANKATA.No amount of advice will ever be taken by upnd they keep on saying KUMBELE,KUMBELE and yet in actual fact they are going backwards.Very sad indeed for once a vibrant party or is it parte.

  9. Interesting article and comments. Well, if upnd is finishing itself, let pf and supporters go to sleep as there is nothing to worry! Deep down tho, there appears sleeplessness in z pf camp even with all z asernal at their disposal. Upnd are strikers, pf are defending z cup. Its only z defenders who stand to lose.

  10. The followers and members of PEP are doomed to have the president who exhibits ignorance in public like that. What does this kindergarten know about politics. How dare is he to talk about the mighty UPND like that. Anyway we forgive you. You said this under the influence of some toxic substance. Just wait and watch my brother. It seems like you don’t know the purpose of your existence.

  11. Tembo will go off politics like Chipili. Zambian politics is not for massaging, seeming to play smart. We have laws being manipulated by criminals answer you think you can fight them off your computer posting this stuff daily? If UPND was on a path of extinction, why would PF not leave HH alone? Don’t you see you will be re next victim; except they know you are a one man-computer party?
