Ingredients
- 1.8kg beef steak, chopped or sliced into smaller pieces
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsps Garlic powder
- 2 tsps Chilli flakes
- 2 heaped tsps Paprika
- 1 sachet dried French onion soup mix
- 240ml water
- 3 carrots, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
Method
Take the beef and season to taste with; salt and pepper, garlic powder and chilli flakes and paprika. In a large frying pan, brown the beef on all sides, over a high heat. About 5 minutes
Place the beef in the slow cooker and add the soup mix, water, carrots, onion, potatoes and celery and any other vegetables you may be using e.g. green beans, peppers. Cover and cook on a low setting for 8 to 10 hours.
Serving
Serve hot, with a side of fresh bread, and a beverage of your choice.

Even nkhuni or mbaula, 10hrs is just too much, by then kids would have gone to sleep and you end up eating alone.
I wonder what kind of meals you guys have. There’s a difference between cooking and boiling!!
