Swim in the beautiful blue
Fresh water Lake Tanganyika
For me
If you are in Livingstone
Stare at the Gorgeous Victoria Falls
Mosi-o-Tunya
For me but not too close to the edge
Be mindful on the Knife Edge Bridge
If you are in Sinazongwe, Gwembe
Chipepo harbor and Siavonga
Eat nshima with some fresh Kapenta
And Zambezi bream
For me
If you are in the Luangwa
Game Park whisper to all the
Beautiful Majestic wild animals
I send my greetings
If you are in Iteshi Teshi
Kiss all the babies
For me
If you are at Nyimba Bus Stop
Eat some of those sweet
Blazer sugar canes
And a thousand types of bananas
For Me
If you see an old freedom fighter
Man or woman
Bow down to them
Kiss their hands for the
Sweet freedom you and I enjoy
Thank them for me
If you are in Lusaka, Shangombo
Kasumbalesa, Tunduma, Nchelenge
Fall down to your knees
First clean the ground

That is Zambia

They say “united,we stand and divided,we fall”.so for mother Zambia to continue developing,all Zambians must unite.dont allow politicians to divide us as we are one family.our independence was not won by mmd,PF or upnd but by our freedom fighters.hence,dont allow a current crop of politicians to DESTROY CELEBRATIONS ON SUCH A VITAL DAY(24/10/….) IN ZAMBIA’S HISTORY!!! WE MUST BE PROUD OF OUR COUNTRY!!!

@Njimbu, you made my eyes wet. Indeed this is INDEPENDENCE DAY. Nothing more or less, it just means that. That’s what being PATRIOTIC is. You can’t say or do otherwise.

“Zambia Dziko la mtendere”, as Sam Mangwana once put it. Yes, we love you Zambia. Freedom fighters are no longer many left but the real fight is still on. Poverty, corruption and disease are the enemies we now need to fight. Let us save, conserve and preserve our people and our God given wealth. Let us unite and rule our own destiny.
We have a long way to go but at least we are on the way.
