Chief Chikankata says contrary to the reports, the constructor , SCRICA Limited Company , has abandoned the road but that the constructor halted the construction works following the onset of the rains which makes construction works difficulty.
ZANIS reports that the traditional leader explained said this in an interview in Chikankata district in Southern province today.
He said the SCRICA Limited Company has only stopped the works due to the rains adding that once the rain season is over, the constructor will resume the workd.
Chief Chikankata said he was impressed with the works the contractor has done a good job on the Itezhitezhi road stretch so far.
The traditional leader has since assured his subjects and the travelling public to be patient with the constructor.
He also urged motorists and residents to give maximum support to the constructor working on the much talked Dundu Mwezi road in Kalomo district in Southern province.
