Nkana have confirmed the signing of Congolese striker Idriss Mbombo and four other players as they prepare for the 2018 season.

Kalampa will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup this year.

Club media officer Lillian Musenge announced that Mbombo joins Nkana on a one- year loan deal from Al- Shabab F.C of Saudi Arabia.

Mbombo is a former Zesco United and Kabwe Warriors player.

Nkana have also signed Ghana keeper Stephen Adams on a two-year deal.

Meanwhile, striker Humphrey Maseneko has made a permanent move to Wusakile from Zesco United with defender Gift Zulu moving from Forest Rangers.

Forward Festus Mbewe has returned to Nkana on a one-year loan deal from Red Arrows.

“Yes, it is true we have signed the five players,” Musenge said on Monday.

  1. chris KATONGO also signed for NKANA , WELL WHAT ABOUT MBESUMA AND NOAH CHIVUTA? idriss MPOMBO is the best CAPTURE NKANA has made for 2018 TO BRING HIM FROM AL SHABAB , SOUDI ARABIA HMM..VINKANA NI VIKALI

  2. How I wish my team power can learn something from our rivals . Though I don’t agree with one acquisition in the name of Festus . At least there is some serious preps for 2018 season. A reminder to CEC please we need serious reorganization at power.

  3. Do we need a foreign goal keeper? We met I channelled that amount for another high profile midfielder. I say so because 2017 league signalled of the improved goalkeeping in Mapulanga, Kelvin Malunga and Stephen Mwansa and mweemba on loan to Lumwana all our own. Maybe feed up a goalkeeper coach to work with Kalale. Let’s be objective in our signing. Why pleading with that boy Walter bwalya? The boy is bigheaded and his performance is somehow below par.

  4. I hope Mbombo did not get indoctrinated into terrorism. The Al-shabab is a terrorist group in the middle east, and hopefully they are not the sponsors of Al-Shabab FC. c

  5. Walter Bwalya will be disappointed where he intends to go from Nkana. He should know that the person who made him tick was Sate Sate the Nkana landlord himself. He will surely remember his presence in Zambia.

  6. Lack of soccer nurseries like those run by the late ZCCM has lead to the influx of foreigners in our football. Anyway good luck Nkana as you go hunting for an international trophy.

  7. Beston Chambeshi is coach of the moment and thanks to Nkana executive for the new talented players. Nkana will most likely go far in the continental show piece and win the cup. 2018 will most probably be a very successful year for Nkana.
