In as much as i wish to commend the two parties PF & UPND for allowing women chance to stand, i’m disappointed with the caliber of the two candidates. Are there no better women candidates in these in these parties? That is why debates in parliament leave much to be desired.
Mwelwa don’t go far first look at the caliber of men already there. Dig their history then you will understand why these women were chosen. What is good for the goose is good 4 the gander. Stop using different criteria 2 judge women its for the past. After all its a men led party structure that chose then. Accept one of the two will lead so better get used 2 this

MALAWI – OPPOSITION LEADER IN CUSTODY FOR OBSTRUCTION
Malawi police have arrested Malawi opposition Party Deputy Publicity Secretary Rev. Maurice Munthali for obstructing the First Lady Gertrude Mutharika’s motorcade on a motorway from Blantyre to Lilongwe.
The Police at Zalewa road block received an intelligence radio message that there was an unknown vehicle that failed to give way for the First Lady’s convoy. According to the radio Intel messages the unknown vehicle was warned to stay away from the convoy by the Police but the driver continuously ignored . The convoy nevertheless blocked the unknown vehicle.
Kukonda vo copela ba Malawi. They say if Zambia did it why can’t we did it also? kikikiki!
MALAWI (CONTD) The Police Intel messages were being monitored by Police at Zalewa road which advised the convoy to cruise up to the roadblock. The strange car kept chase of the convoy up to the road block. When the First Lady’s convoy passed the Zalewa roadblock the police closed the road and ordered the unknown vehicle to stop and the driver was taken into custody at the roadblock for questioning.
Upon interrogation it transpired that the man apprehended was MCP’s Deputy Publicity Secretary Maurice Munthali. Munthali is currently in custody at the Zalewa roadblock Police as the police is trying to establish motive for his conduct. Police suspect Munthali attempted to put the life of the First Lady in the danger. Munthali actions are said to be reckless and criminal.

Let’s focus on the issues and what this woman can do politically that could benefit the electorates and the country in general.

This is why in developed Countries like here in UK, senior citizens like these would be given free Bus passes, so they can travel freely on public transport for the rest of their lives.
