President Edgar Lungu says he will remain focused on developing all regions of the country as there is no time for politicking.
The President said his government will ensure that it facilitates investment that will bring about economic growth and job creation so as to better the living standards of the Zambian people.
President Lungu has emphasized that the PF government is now seriously preoccupied with fostering development in the country and will not be swayed from its developmental agenda.
The President was speaking on arrival in Siavonga today, when he addressed scores of residents who welcomed him.
The Head of State is accompanied to Siavonga by Presidential Affairs Minister Freedom Sikwazwe and livestock and Fisheries Minister.
And speaking earlier, Southern Province Minister Edify Hamukale assured the President that the PF remains intact in the Province.
During his working visit, the President will commission a Fish Feed Plant for Aller Aqua Company, one of the biggest in Africa with a capacity of 55,000 metric tonnes of feed per year.

Anyway, fish farming was one of the businesses I really wanted to get using my father’s vast farmland but was frustrated with getting a loan seriously embark on the journey. This was in the MMD era. The loan was approved but mysteriously the money disappeared into a black hole. Following up was like banging your head against the wall. This is what discourages many a Zambian in the diaspora to invest back home. Especially if you are not always home/around to twist arms and sometimes give “brown envelopes.” A shame that only multi corperations with money to burn in form of bribes seem to make it in our country.

I will say it over again & again.Mr president please or kindly apply aggressive fiscal policy.Stop procuring vehicles with V8 /V6 engines for any government officials, cut on seminars/workshops, cut on foreign trips, any procurement above say $100,000 should be approved by the president or his delegate, freeze recruitment unless “essential departments” like health on nurses & doctors, remove Deputy Permanent Secretary’s position (like Patrick Mwanawasa” , fire ministers like Sikazwe, Joyce Nonde, reduce the staff in foreign mission, suspend or fire all those with suspected frauds/corruption, no creation of new districts, remove DCs, fund essential projects only, disband ministry of religion,reduce tax, get oil from Angola,explore oil in Chama & Zambezi, emeralds in Eastern province,…

Lungu is in the sewers of corruption up to his neck to do anything about it……all those cuts you mention are a bridge too far for him, the people who are witnessing his corruption will revolt if he institutes any cost cutting.

Lungu is impervious to all the criticism of his corrupt activities which he pushes under the carpet. He can do so only for a while for the clock is ticking to his end which is not negotiable. He has grown personal wealth through corrupt deals and earned the country a burden of debt generations will struggle to settle. Zambia will be better off with this insensitive thief out of State House.
