Rhumba maestro Koffi Olomide is this month end coming to Zambia for two shows in Lusaka and Kitwe.

The all-time music hitmaker makes a return for another anticipated hot performance set for Government Complex banquet hall in Lusaka on the 27th July and later move to Kitwe the following day at Mindolo Dam.

Last time Koffi dated Zambia, his shows were cancelled following his alleged physical abuse of one of his dancers that caused a public outcry. However, Koffi apologised to the world and the women folk.

Organisers say Koffi’s return is to accord many of his fans the best of the musician who considers Zambia one of his biggest market for his music. The singer, who is considered one of Africa’s influential musicians and great stage performers, will be with his energetic dancers and band members who are geared to treat fans to live and authentic music.

The extension of Koffi’s performance to the Copperbelt is deliberately meant to give the fans there a rare opportunity to watch the singer who has continued to release hit after hit every year in.

Recently, he released, ‘ Sisi Silvie’ the remix and ‘Effervescent et Service’ featuring Fally Ipupa. Both songs plus many of his greatest hits will be showcased at the two shows whose tickets are already selling at Mobile City Mukuba Mall, East Point Discothèque in Ndola and Lusaka and many other outlets.

    • Are they going to arrest him or case is closed?
Koffi commuted crime when Ba Lungu was minister of home affairs.

    • Neither do I, Mushota. Congolese suggestive dancing has polluted Zambia, including our kids. Am I the only one to be concerned about this?

    • I guess Zambian women will be the first to line up when they know that this Congolese ape has no respect for women. Where are the women’s rights groups

    • Stup!d zambians always forget.
I have never seen such a greedy, gullible and foolish lot like SOME zambians!

    • @Chanchima what is suggestive dancing? A white man told you that your dancing is suggestive and you believed him. When you know very well that is how youve danced all along.
Ballroom dancing is also suggestive but because no white man says so you accept it. Africans should define themselves not wait for Europeans to define them

    • At what cost per ticket? Koffi sure knows where to pick up his pocket change when it runs low! And the stage wriggling so called ‘energetic dancers’ are not banned because they choose to be economic with truth as opposed to Zodwa Wabantu!

Give me any local artiste performance so long its not at a political event I always line up as opportunity arises!

  1. Yaba, uyu futi! Didn’t he escape on a motor cycle across the DRC when he was being pursued by the police in Zambia? What happened? Ninshi mulandu unazizila olo unaola chabe?

  2. Thought we shouldn’t celebrate him. He is inherently gender violent and a woman abuser. Shame on the organisers of the show

  3. Let us see what mettle our female MPs and vice president have. They can easily stop this show, to set a precedence. We shall not allow GBV culprits into Zambia.

  4. Between him and Zodwa I would say Zodwa is completely harmless to society because she does what everyone already does in the privacy of wherever they are whereas this guy causes actual physical and mental harm to the womenfolk

  5. This vile monster should be not be allowed near any airport in Zambia…he thinks he is some King who can mistreat women!!

  6. Donald Trump: Who told you sexy, waist-gyrating of modern rhumba dancers is the traditional Congolese way? There was a time when dancing to rhumba was respectable. After collapse of the Congolese economy during the Mobutu years, life became hard for people and prostitution became a means to earn a living. The music and dancing responded in the same fashion. That is when when suggestive dancing was born.

  7. Even if they peg the tickets at 5000 I would pay to watch the man because he is a great entertainer. Tulekeni fwabandalama we go and watch the Rhumba legend

  8. Kabiyeni uko!!!!! If you never beat your wife or cheat on her be the first one to cast a stone on Koffi.
