It is a fact that the Chinese will not sort out our mess. The US$30 million grant is meant to facilitate their further interests in our great nation. But we can no longer pay a blind eye to genuine and “corrupt free” assistance from our western and American friends.
The fact of the matter is that you ignore Trump at your own peril. Government needs to approach the Americans and simply apologise for reminding them that we are “a sovereign nation”. These guys are powerful and they don’t need that arrogance. They control the Boards of the World Bank and IMF. Whether we like it or not, the PF Government has messed up. And this is the time when we badly need IMF rescue package. Trump simply awaits an apology and all will be well.

Unfortunately no African country is doing well without China/Chinese investment.Because of IMF tough conditions on loans and higher interest rates by IMF, China has taken advantage to financing projects in most developing Countries and in a long run it’s helping China to decongest it’s over population by means of providing their own labour in some of the projects they are doing in most African countries. Just recently China constructed high speed state of the art railway lines in Kenya from Mombasa to Nairobi.
Compare Chinese streets with Zambia’s dirty cholera infested streets .Its a depressing sight.
