First Lady Esther Lungu cleaning at University Teaching Hospital (UTH) emergency ward during the keep Zambia Clean, Green and Healthy Campaign
First Lady Esther Lungu has donated assorted food stuffs and hospital equipment to the emergency department at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH).
Presenting the donation Mrs Lungu said it is important for people to share the little they have, with the under privileged in society, adding that there are more blessings in giving than receiving.
The First Lady was also at UTH to participate in the Make Zambia clean, green and healthy campaign, held under the theme “Cleaner Greener and Healthy University teaching Hospital”.
Mrs Lungu said she is in a hurry to encourage all health personnel across the country to keep the surrounding clean and green.
She said UTH being the pinnacle of health services across the country, should lead the way in keeping the surroundings clean, green and healthy.
The First Lady urged hospital management to ensure that the institution creates a public awareness of not only keeping the hospital clean but the nation at large.
And speaking when he received the donation on behalf of UTH Management, Senior Medical Superintendent (SMS) of the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) – Adult hospital, Clarence Chiluba thanked Mrs. Lungu for the donation.
Dr. Chiluba said the donation will go a long way in helping the sustain the Hospital.

Esther is one whose donations we see the source. Very different from her husband, his cabinet ministers and MPs who donate millions of kwacha without a discernible source. We can onlyconclude itsfromcorrupt acti ities, or leads to compromising them and eventually inevitable corruption.
