Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Emmanuel Mwamba has said Zambia remains an attractive investment destination.
Speaking when he met Northern Province Minister, Hon. Brian Mundubile in Johannesburg, Mr. Mwamba disclosed that for example, a high-level team from the Development Bank of South Africa (DBSA) was currently in Zambia for meetings with IDC Zambia and ZESCO to discuss the possible financing of 100MW of Solar PV Energy.
He this project which was being done in collaboration with Globalek.
The DBSA in collaboration with IDC Zambia are also looking at the financing of the expansion of Mpulungu Harbor in Northern Province.
This expansion if succesful would see the modernisation of the harbor to cater for increased cargo traffic to the Great Lakes region.
Other meetings during their visit to Zambia will be with the Ministry of Water Development to discuss an ambitious Water and Sanitation project in Lusaka.
And Hon. Mundubile said his trip to China and South Africa have been succesful in wooing investors for Northern Province.
He said investors were willing to invest in the potential of the Kalungwishi agriculture farm block, infrastructure such as road, rail, and tourism cites in the province.
Only a fooool can trust/believe a sly operator like Mwamba.
