  1. Why do you refuse them to marry? The campaign against early marriages Is a useless effort. If these girls were married, they wouldn’t need the government to take care of them. Their husbands would be responsible over them, while they go to school at the same time.

    • Young girls still going to have sex even if you stop them from getting married. Is it not better for them to have sex with their husbands in the bedroom of their homes than with boys in the bush and get pregnant and have children without father’s?

  2. These girls should be circumcised by removing certain from ntwenu! Cacilamo! And if they are below 20, can we seperate those under 16 so that we commence defilement cases?

  3. I said it and will say it again, it is immoral to criminalize early marriages, yet you accept pregnances out side marriage. Which one of the two is evil? This age seriously needs wise leaders.

  4. Gosh this early pregnancy is now at crisis level.During my days in upper primary we only had one girl get pregnant and it was a SHOCKER.

  5. Unfortunately, their parents will be expecting a huge dowry claiming their daughter was a virgin. Young men don;t be deceived anymore, subject your wives to medical examination. The damage and the mileage is likely to show overused and non-runner. Technology is here for a reason, no one should cheat you,

  6. Hence lies the ever growing problem of over population and unplanned families. These children when they are born will need food, shelter and security and here we are talking about just 3 months of the year what more the other 9 months? This is not sustainable we are building a ticking time bomb, Sierra Leone, DRC, Burundi, Rwanda and Liberia all had one thing in common a huge unemployed, frustrated, angry and idle youth population that were easily swayed into armed conflict.

  7. It really amazes me to read the reaction of the majority of the bloggers. I don’t think they understand the consequences of the pregnancies of these young girls. All I read are senseless jokes.
The implication is that our young people are having a lot of unprotected sex which is exposing them to o HIV infections.
    They are not protecting themselves.
What is the policy of having sex with underage girls? As long as the culprits are left scot-free, they will definitely pounce on the next victim. This is where the police must intervene instead of busy playing hide and seek with the opposition parties.

  8. This where the so called National Guidance Ministry should say something…NOT useless issues but then again its a useless ministry!!

  9. Am also worried about the statistics given. Are these statistics correct? Zambia’s population is currently growing at a rate 3.2% per year. The country has one of the highest fertility rates in the world at 6.2 births per woman.
What is the population of Chipata?
In 2018, it’s estimated that the population in chipata is 85,963, *****

  10. am worried if this can become to an end cause may its reason for poverty. and some other traditional beliefs
    miyambo azimai yaupuba
but now its for government to look forward under 20 means some are almost 13 to 20
below that age make sure case of defilement (town girls akonda ndalama too much)
