LT where is my comment!

Share

After typing out your comment, in response to someone who you feel has completely missed a point and hitting the send button, your comment is nowhere to be seen. In frustration you type it out 6 more times and still it does not appear on LT! The 7th comment is “LT @$%*!* why are you blocking me!”

At LT we value your participation. This is your platform, for your views. There is no-one blocking your comments.Your comments have been temporarily held up by the system and are awaiting manual approval.

So what are the reasons for the hold up?

  • You may be using a proxy that was flagged in the past due to an offensive comment posted by you or someone else.
  • A word in your comment bears a striking resemblance to an offensive word that is a banned word on the site.
  • You have been flagged because you have used offensive language in the past.
  • There is a glitch in the system and your innocent comment has been held up.

So now what?

Your comment will be released within 24 hours.

  1. That’s very good LT… well written.

May I ask that your grammar and spell checks be as accurate before an article is published.

This is a very good platform but some of your editors are alarming us! It just goes to confirm our education system is not up to date and issues… could this be a case of exam leakages coming home to roost?

    Thank you

    • So you rats can have a field day stealing unopposed ??

They blocked my other IP address but I now use the IP address gateways of the major service providers in Europe , like vodaphone meaning they will have to block all vodaphone traffic. And if they do that , I hop onto the next IP gateway which will be 3 and so ……

  2. So is the word SUNDAY CHANDA or ANTONIA MWANZA a proxy ….you have settings on some of your articles that block this.
And in this day and age surely how can you have a comments platform that is 25 years out of date..you can not even edit your comment!!

Note from Webmaster: You don’t have to type out the same comment numerous times, as it will be posted eventually (if it doesn’t contain offensive language.) Thank you for your input about the comment system we will take that into consideration.

  3. So is the word $UNDAY CH@NDA or @NTONIA MW*NZA a proxy ….you have settings on some of your articles that block this.
And in this day and age surely how can you have a comments platform that is 25 years out of date..you can not even edit your comment!!
Typed that twice as it is awaiting moderation

Typed that three times as it is awaiting moderation

  5. So is the word SUNDAY CH***A or A*TONIA MW**ZA a proxy ….you have settings on some of your articles that block this.

Typed that four times as it is awaiting moderation

  6. Continue with your good balanced journalism as compared to some private mouthpieces
Your grammar, spellings and general editing can be improved upon. The funniest instance with LT is when we try to expose the people who R*A*P*E the country’s resources and LT blocks the word R***

  7. ‘So now what?
Your comment will be released within 24 hours.’

Why up to this day my comments on the warning and cautioning of muscian Kay Figo not released despite being non-insulting?

  8. Good education effort LT. But i hasten to add that do not have hypocritical blocking like they do in Hollywood – they will show gay couples in intimate positions but will block out ” the N word” and such others like “sh..” etc. In our culture, there are ways of insulting that we find unacceptable but the actual words used are not

  9. Censorship is not a bad thing..but it should not infringe on freedom of expression.. such platforms are becoming the only place where people can have the liberty to enjoy this right in Zambia.. don’t join the unmentionables in taking away this right or purposefully misinterpreting it to mean something that It was not originally intended to mean.. and yes LT is doing a good job.. but add comment editor in your code.. there are alot of programmers out there who can do this…

  10. Excellent! Lusaka Times. Keep this up, unsavory language and insults by bloggers diminish the value of appeal of your publication. You are currently the best non partisan and objective online Zambian news media in my opinion.

  11. If your article has any credibility, why is Sharon still posting blogs. I do appreciate that people from both PF & UPND post things in support of their preferred parties but Sharon is VERY offensive!
