The University Teaching Hospitals has described as stable, the condition of Richard Zulu, a 3-year-6 months old boy of Chipata in Eastern Province afflicted with needles in his body.
The boy who was found with 44 needles and wires embedded in his body was evacuated to Lusaka for specialized medical treatment following President Edgar Lungu’s directive.
Children’s Hospital Senior Medical Superintendent John Musuku said Richard is currently under rehabilitation in readiness for surgery adding that a multi disciplinary committee of doctors has already been set up to look into the matter.
According to Hot FM, Dr. Musuku was speaking when Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs Godfridah Sumaili and the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia visited him at the UTH.
And Reverend Sumaili who commended President Lungu for the support rendered towards the boy has further commended the Church for their prayers as the situation is compelling to every Zambian.
Meanwhile, Rosemary Jere who is the mother to the boy expressed ignorance on how the needles entered the child’s body saying that his first signs of sickness were merely stomach aches.
Headline is misleading unless there are other boys with the same condition…
If is was an old politician, they would have evacuated already.
i’m confused,,,,,,, is it the nails or the needles ?
