Zambezi District Subordinate Court Resident Magistrate, Inambao Subulwa has sentenced an 80 year old man of Mize area to two months simple imprisonment for criminal trespass.
John Matemba was charged with criminal trespass contrary to section 306 (a) of the penal code Chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.
Particulars of the offence are that John Matemba, a peasant farmer of Mize area in Zambezi West, on March 22, 2019 in Zambezi district of North Western Province Of Zambia, did enter the premises of Steven Chinyama with intent to intimidate and annoy.
In passing judgment, Magistrate Subulwa stated that he considered the age of the accused person and that the sentence would set as example to would be offenders.
