Traditional Leaders that are participating in the ongoing National Dialogue Forum at Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka, are happy with the progress made in the deliberation of issues.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today, Senior Chief Madzimawe says the forum has accorded delegates an opportunity to freely express themselves, with regards to what the order paper contains.

The traditional leader stated that he is hopeful that at the end of the sittings, the forum will come up with a good document that will contain resolutions that the people of Zambia will appreciate.

He noted that the forum still has some time for the people who opted to stay away to reconsider joining the process as it is the only way they can contribute to matters of national interest.

The Senior Chief observed that Zambia is still a young democracy and has not yet reached levels of developed countries whose constitutions stand the state of time but that at some point the country will come up with a tangible legal document that the people of Zambia will be proud of.

And Senior Chief Chiwala said given more time, the forum will be able to reach a consensus on all the issues that have been enshrined in the amendments.

He said shunning away from this important matter, makes people miss an opportunity to correct what is needed to be revised in the country’s constitution.

The traditional leader added that it is important that all leaders attend the national dialogue forum as it is in the interest of the people they represent.

Chieftainess Mweenda said she is equally happy that the dialogue sittings so far are progressing well.

The Chieftainess said there is a lot that the Zambian people need to learn concerning the governance system of the country but do not read extensively, despite being availed the necessary documents.

She regretted that the reading culture in the country is not impressive and has since advised the Zambian people to develop a culture of reading in order for them to have a better understanding of the country’s governance system.

  1. Go to hell. What has these PF politics to do with you chiefs. Sometimes is good just to write stuff like Chitimukulu does, done go into fuucking dialogue. Sometimes elders just call insults upon themselves, like what these baffikala doing.
Go rest under trees, go chill.

    • Of course they are happy. The are all sellouts. Instead of demanding clean piped water, VIP toilets and schools for their subjects they are happy to eat crumbs from the disgraced PF table!!

    • The chiefs are saying how they feel. Ewe nga chakuyonga go find the nearest tree. Go chiefs, go!!!

    • Go to where?
      Hell? We are already there.
Instead of pressing for solution of extreme poverty, lack of quality education, jobs, medical care, accountability, rule of law, fighting cancer of corruption, this parasites are happy with few crumbs.

    • How can you be disappointed when you are getting paid to sit there for nothing by this wasteful reckless govt

  2. 1 &1.2 I am sure you are educated enough to debate decently. Remember indecency will breed more indecency. Think what you want but fact is that even your preferred government will face problems.

    • Iwe chikkala who mentioned a preferred government??
Are chiefs part of your government? That’s why I told those scavengers to back to their villages and enjoy the sounds of real goats in their palaces, than sounds of goats tied on leashes at Mulungushi conference Thing.

    • 2.1 and you are the people aspiring to rule Zambia? What a shame. By the way are you always on drugs?

  3. …the co-accused for the slave trade speaking…yes Sosala and Mukuni, even Mpezeni AGAINST bare-breasting…the rest? what was WRONG with the church-led dialogue forum?Fight the white-man’s ghost in YOUR HEADS, the colonialists are NOT partakers of this dialogue…puke !

  4. Our constitution is a piece of USED TOILET PAPER. The Executive does not follow or recognize it. Hence no need to attend NDF. Hats off to Garry Nkombo!

    • And which nonsense is HH going to bring?, this is about our Nation it is not about ECL or HH. You cadres you must distinguish between issues of national interest and politicking. It is the same HH who decampaigned the referendum of among others public order act. When the referendum flopped the PF Govt had no choice but to continue implementing the law. Guess who cried and still crying the loudest- of course HH. So it is not about political parties or individuals, even if you lost election several times you still belong to our great nation and you Must participate in national issues. For your own information, HH will not be wining general elections anytime soon maybe in 2060 somewhere there. So, come down to earth and participate positively towards your country while you are still in flesh.

  5. Do you know how unseroius and shameless some so called politicall leaders are. I watched with disgust on prime TV that upnd has resorted to suing the govt over UPND peopke who have been convicted without bein tried for a long time. COME ON. HAVE SHAME. One of the provisions of the decampained and failed referendum was that if one is detained without being tried for 48 hrs, they would be released from holding cells. This is shooting yourself in your foot. Today you are shanning the NDF and tomorrow you want to cry over 14 days. These are peopke you should be telling to behave. Not the chiefs

    • Have you read the failed Bill of Rights?
Thanks to God it did not pass.
Read before pretending to know something which is way above your intellect .

  6. Trib.al Hacks hates such names, you are easterners are you? Nsenga? Ngoni? Same difference for trib.als.

  7. HH has no solutions in his oval head for he always shuns solution giving platforms and yet claims to have solutions for zambia’s problems.
This man will be the waste in state house.Zambian don’t let such blank minded person to go in state house.
