President HH, A Clique of Liars, and Cipante Pante Policies

Share

By Kapya Kaoma.

President HH’s legacy will be destroyed by a clique of liars in the New Dark Regime; men and women whose interests are their bellies. To speak truth to him they fear, so they undress themselves as babies in diapers without any sense of decency. During Cabinet Meetings, they put their tails between their legs–willing to kiss the Big Man’s boots to retain their jobs as opposed to telling him what he does not need to hear–the truth.

In January, the new school year begins, but no headteacher, teacher or parent knows what to do with his new education policy. People don’t even know that boarding fees are not abolished, but tuition and PTA fees. This needs to be communicated clearly to the public. If bursaries for boarding fees are to be processed at the Ward level for the coming term, this has to happen by January. Is it viable?

In a democratic world, the New Dark Regime would have first consulted with teachers, head teachers and parents and then put the system in place before making any changes. That is why we conduct policy studies by experts before making policy changes Mr. Baby President. As it is, it is undemocratic, and a disruption to the education system.

In their SpongeBob world, prices are going down, salaries are going up, the Kwacha is appreciating, and Zambia is soon to be heaven on Earth–after all, didn’t Mutati tell the nation Zambia will launch its own satellite in 2 years?

Similarly, the K26 million granted to each Constituency sounds great, but the question is how will it be administered? It would involve setting up new personnel infrastructures at all levels. What instruments will be in place to ensure that these funds are not politicized or misused? Again, transparency in the development of an uniform apolitical instrument of accountability for such funds before releasing them would need to be in place first. Zambians should have had a say, and not just the President. Unless his Cabinet has no adults, the PF cipante pante policies are back with the New Dark Regime.

Am I surprised? Not at all. The privatization process President HH conducted was just as chaotic–so Zambia, fasten your belts for the rough ride. But at your own risk–who are you to speak against Bally, our new god? Whatever he does is good–to question his judgment is sinful.

I have truly earned my place among hegemonists, thieves, and tribalists. The only problem is, unlike other regimes, Baal worshipers are too wise to accept the fact that their god won’t bring fire down! In their SpongeBob world, prices are going down, salaries are going up, the Kwacha is appreciating, and Zambia is soon to be heaven on Earth–after all, didn’t Mutati tell the nation Zambia will launch its own satellite in 2 years? Only if we can all worship Baal and believe without questioning. We don’t have sanitation or running water in most of the nation, yet Mutati thinks Science and Technology is all about Satelites. That’s why I refuse to join this foolish cult. I don’t campaign for jobs from politicians. I oppose bad leadership, corruption and misappropriation of public resources when I see it. I love my country and I will never join a Big Man cult; neither do I believe in being neutral to injustice.

The HH Administration cannot rebrand itself without addressing two democratic benchmarks–leadership style and credibility. So far, HH’s manner of leadership has proved to be dictatorial. He rules by decree. His arrogance is driven by ignorance planted in the cult of the Big Man–the tendency that is highly threatening. Nobody is willing to speak the truth to him–the vultures around him want carcasses to feed on. Is it not our god Baal who decree Zambian coffers to be empty? So why bring back District Commissioners? Do we really need them? Well it is the New Dark Regime! Just believe the New–the rest is old!

The second is addressing the many promises he made to the nation. So far, a clique of liars is what the New Dark Regime is. There is nothing wrong with saying I made a mistake–but to develop amnesia even when video evidence exists is simply insane! Why shouldn’t we call it a lie if he backtracks on what he promised? To us Baal worshipers, because our god didn’t mean it. But if you call it a lie, you are part of the clique of thieves, hegemonists and tribalists.

  1. Yes alot of my UPND friends I’ve spoken to in the past two weeks are saying the same thing….chipante pante Government and they look more confused than Lungu..expensive foreign trips and load shedding is on the rise some places going for 4 straight days no electricity

  2. Pleasant to read this, no insulting language but bold and honest enough. One of the very few articles of his I have read past the first three paragraphs.
I hope Kaoma continues to write like this. Most of his articles fail to be objective because of his foul language and personalized insults.
This was well done as a positive criticism which points out the wrongs of the Big Man syndrome and also a reminder of what we were promised, what has been delivered and how what has been delivered does not have enough information for actualization.

  3. The UPND were not ready to govern. HH told us that he will run a meritocracy but he has completely changed the narrative. Everything he’s doing he’s saying he’s reversing what wrong the PF did. He has appointed cadres to the civil service not on merit like he told us but on the tribal balancing narrative. Professionalism doesn’t know tribe. Everything he’s doing is because the PF did this we’re also doing that, what’s his program? ZERO! He has no agenda for Zambia. All he knows best is how to cut deals. Nawakwi told us and now we’ll remember her. He sometimes lamely refer to the UPND manifesto but has he looked at it seriously? It’s a very novice document. Even a student can write a better thesis than what’s in the UPND manifesto. If he’s going to tell us to rely on that for…

  4. Corruption is on the rise…US$50 million tender….caught lying about load shedding yesterday…..they said it’s because of the weather but it turns out it’s because of short supply from South Africa….Fuel shortage most gas stations have no fuel as of today…..UPND die hards are constipating with frustration….Spaka now just insulting and calling fellow bloggers dogs……Mr Spaka sir HH is a Politician so get that in your head

  5. Let’s allow the new government to at least serve us for two years by then it will show some level of maturity and civility to comment on issues of this nature.
It’s illogical for anyone to start condemning a government that has only served for four months.

  6. Pity that you people put all your trust in a fellow human being. When you look in a mirror just remember that what you are seeing is the most dangerous animal on planet Earth.

  7. These comments from PF make sad reading, is it not this same PF which promised more money in peoples pockets in 90 days and for 10 years there was literally nothing, is it not the same PF which promised lower taxes and there was nothing, is it not the same PF which promised more jobs and there was nothing for 10 years, surprising how they can have the moral authority to question promises of their colleagues whose budget has not even kicked in. Any way there is constant fight in the world between evil and good, the best PF could do is to keep quiet, people have not forgotten the empty promises for 10 years of PF misrule

  8. Listening to Nakachinda on TV yesterday, one can tell why the PF lost the election and also the mess which the country is in, the man was boasting that PF left 3 billion dollars in reserves, apart from this not being true, and assuming it was true, does he know what reserves are meant for. He has no clue that what affects the daily life of a common man are the following parameters – Inflation, exchange rate and employment. Reserves do not put food on our tables. And despite themselves the PF saying arrogance brought them down, you can tell from the tone of the man that there is no remorse what so ever

It started from 2 weeks to let’s give them 1 month…and then let’s give them 2 months and then let’s give them 100 days….so it goes on and on and you saying 2 years…with all these costly by elections coming up except nothing in the next 5 years…..it turns out HH is just a Politician and he’s not even ashamed to show his true Political colors…the moment he went and dined with Munangangwa that was it…he was officially initiated into the do nothing club and now he’s doubled up on his globetrotting…he has 2 more overseas trips coming up in a few days and then he is going back to South Africa

  13. When Zambia played their last game I watched for the first 10 minutes and I knew we were going nowhere I switched to another channel and switched back again it was 1-0 next time I switched back they were just scoring the 3rd goal The first 3 months of any new Government is a time of laying their foundation and you dont need to wait for 3 or 4 years to know the future the foundation will tell you

  14. Lets be fair here come on. Free Education was not a decree, it was in the budget. HH kept mute until Finance minister announced the budget. I’m sure they had to rush so that you, Sean and Raphael would shut up. Musokotwane clearly said that free education was possible in two years. He said that in his first interview as Finance minister. One thing for sure is that if UPND mess up, they will correct the mistake.

  16. I am in agreement that we should objectively judge the UPND government perhaps after 3 years.
However, to keep quiet when the recent appointments of permanent secretaries and district commissioner is handled based on party loyalty as opposed to meritocracy is a cause of concern. How many technocrats did HH appoint as PS? Should we wait until 5 years to point out such?
The free education and the increase in CDF is commendable. However, as Kaoma has stated, free education does not mean removal of boarding fees and I believe some families are not fully aware of that, that information was not very well shared.

  17. Good article. So before the advent of Governors and later DCs Councils already had a structure of actually running municipalities by enacting what we call BYLAWS. These were also actioned to budget for the town/city, as well as plan for expenditures that would come up in the course of running the district. All we need to do now is to empower the Mayor’s Office to preside via the Town Clerk on the goings on in the district. Kudala we used to buy electricity and water from the Council who would in turn buy it as bulk from the ZESCO and water suppliers of the day. Nasiliza a mambala.

  18. I never knew that the PF are still mourning their loss to the mighty UPND. This article is a classic example of such mourning. Its very unfortunate that the PF are failing to move on with their normal lives after the August landslide loss o the mighty UPND.

  22. Some people will have their mouths shut completely by 2026. Wait and see if some of you will not join the party in Govt.

You are too impatient for God’s sake, is it that you are used to opposition syndrome? May be that is where you really belong.

As for me, i voted and iam waiting patiently. Atleast today there is peace, sanity and i can safely drive to work without someone having to point a gun at me.
Atleast i am patiently waiting for the budget to be actualised and see how the CDF will be utlised in my constituency, how some children that were chased from school will begin to trek there.

All i know is that Govt will find a way of cushioning the grants that were diminishing in the past regime due to corruption.

  23. Even if you want to hide your head in the sand, the writing is on the wall, ni chipantepante govt.
Costly by elections, which they condemned PF for, load shedding, borrowing, $50 million fertilizer scandal, endless travels abroad, appointment of party cadres as PS, the list is endless.
Ati let’s wait for two years before we condemn, but you are seeing issues right before your eyes!
It will just get worse. The foundation for failure has already been laid.Twalachimona.

  24. Very interesting article…the UPNDAre thinking they are the first party and the last to rule… But see what hh is causing.. causing deaths amongst Zambians.. failed to deliver his sweet-talks in the book of lies… I feel sorry for him because he is the worst president ever and very sad for his followers ??his worshipers.. wait for his completely fall.

  25. UPND Kapya is trying so hard to disown h². The fellow he campaigned for through and through. Kapya is just simply upnd. He sounded like Hanthony but with no job in the h² Government it’s bitterness. As bitter as h² was against ECL. Kapya is so naive, we warned you about the dark dawn Government and its h². Oh please! Give us a break, don’t disown upnd, you helped build it. Sha! Kupusa bati! Celebrate h² with his u5 decisions.Celebrate h² it’s only but 3 months he is been in power.
Celebrate him as he promises that his plans begins to work the new budget which starts next year. You were the biggest fun of the baal you defame now. You have been a bally worshiper through and through. Kapya laundering is a scheme you just adopted to sound like us. What inconsistent rhetoric.

  26. We have a conman in Govt. This cult of labelling anyone who questions your feeble actions as sour grape is childish. If UPND had any credibility to do anything right we should have been seeing signs of that by now. So far everything is simply a mirage seen by the cult worshipers of the new dark age regime led by a highly egocentric and arrogant chap who pretends to know it all. If you called Lungu a dictator then try the conman in state house today. Surely all his ministers are waging their tail between their legs because their god is in charge.
