The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has appealed to soccer fans to turn up in numbers to cheer Chipolopolo in this Thursday’s 2023 Africa Cup qualifier against Lesotho at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

The Group H match will kick off at 18h00.

FAZ Communications Manager Sydney Mungala said support from fans is key as Zambia seek to qualify for the Africa Cup.

Mungala said FAZ is upbeat that Zambia will triumph over Lesotho.

“We are asking fans to come in huge numbers to watch the Chipolopolo against Lesotho on Thursday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. It has been long since we brought the Senior National Team match to the Copperbelt Province,” Mungala told Radio Icengelo Sports in Ndola.

Ivory Coast lead Group H with four points followed by Zambia and Comoros, who are tied on three points each.

Lesotho are bottom of the group with one point in two matches played.

  1. Iwe Look at the whole picture. Zambia doesn’t have a health minister. The Kwacha is falling. Hospitals are without medicines and you want us to come to the stadium and suffer depression? Where are we gonna get treatment?
