  1. What happened to the funds to resurface the roads? Is it not meant to purchase/hire proper equipment? That buhobe is making me so hungry, with the chilled coca cola… mmm ))-; and those revellers pleeeze…. no comment

  2. nice pics, at least people can still have fun pa zed despite the global economic recession.
Uko ku mansa alamwasyupa sana namakaputula, at least better than the netballer’s

  3. Anybody with information of the hairdresser of the woman in pic 17. There is an official vacancy at State house to take care of somebody’s hair who going to LA next month.

  4. The pictures really show what Zambia is as of today. A generation of drinking young characters and some self-giving huge responsibilities very old Zambians.

I just hope the young Zambians will consider to work hard at improving their life styles instead of concentrating on drinking alcohol, kuchiliza and smoking whatever.

  5. Zoe, you promised to take me to that place some few months ago. Lets make arrangments, cos you seem to know all the good places mu Lusa.

  6. nice fotoz
    Zambia sweet mother Zambia
Freedom is not merely the opportunity to do as one pleases; neither is it merely the opportunity to choose between set alternatives. Freedom is, first of all, the chance to formulate the available choices, to argue over them — and then, the opportunity to choose.

    I love and miss you

  7. I think pipo pa Zed are genuinly happy pipo despite the economi hardships. really nice to have pics of peeps having fun back home. Naya muku boookinga ka Holiday Mwe!
I think apo ayi pa Savage palelinga ukwisa pa checking’a mwe!!

  8. #16 Stop hating on Thandiwe. America is full of immigrants from all over the world who dont speak good English. Thandie will fit right in. Noone will laugh at her in LA if she doesnt speak well or her hair is not perfect. America embraces and appreciates diversity. LA is full of South Americans with limited English. Hell, She can even speak in Nyanja nefikuti and I can jet over and translate.

  9. No. 18 and 19, correction – these are not youths. Please review the words sung by some young man “chikondi chamudima”. Careful ka!

  10. Pic # 2 evokes nostalgia. By the way, braaing is very popular where I am here particularly from Friday throughout weekend. Friday njikata!

  11. mmmhhh ku mansa cha lila kanshi ka? zed over in fact now i’m serously going up North leaving crowded lusaka to the teta’s of this world

  12. the young girl mu pic two is such a cute kid! hope that no one trys to cut that potential short, that pretty child umwana with a genuine smile mother of child sungeni umwana

  13. But bana people have to be careful with that Black Label, the stuff is potent, it poison, you don’t drink it like Tarino, wafwa, saba kwa teni!

  14. Nice pics LT which i think are trying to cover all areas of life pa Zed.

Pic # 1 – “Ubwali na T. bone zoona! Kale!”

Pic 2 – Very sad picture indeed.

Pic 6 Okay! So it’s still the same Zambia i know – “Ba Kamalasha” – very good.

Pic 7 – makes my “Adam’s apple” move up and down. Though m a Mosi man i like Black Label as well. Pic 17 – Mmmmmm uhhhuuuugh!!

    Pic 18 – “ata uto…

  15. Pic 5. I’m tempted to say people should get serious and use proper machinery for the roadwors but then i realise that those guys would then lose their jobs. However, i’m also concerned about what the pace and quaity of the work will be. It’d be intersting to see how the final works will look like.

  16. Oooops pipo! On comment # 48 i meant to say Pic # 3 – very sad picture. Pic # 2 is a good one – the girl reminds me of my daughter and on Pic # 18 i wrote “ata uto winga”.

  17. Is black label the most popular beer in Zambia now? I remember tasting that beer and it is so bitter , i wonder how they manage to have tones of bottles awaiting to be drunk.

  18. # 48 why is pic 2 very sad. Thats just a girl fixing a door mat….we used to do that growing up…that’s just a skill that we learn as young Zambian girls…just like boys make wire cars and ifimpombwa.

  19. Lusaka times please be careful in the manner you portray women, in this sense it has been a negative portrayal of women. Be gender sensitve otherwise be gender balanced!

  20. Man that G-string in pix 18 & 19 is disgusting to see.
I don’t know why people are saying pic # 2 is sad, that girl seems very happy to me. I thought it was pic # 3 with a boy having a seizure that is pretty sad.
As for the beers, I didn’t know we still buy lots of beers at a time and splash them on a table to the point it becomes warm. Is it that hard to buy one at a time or it is all for how 🙁

  21. Pic # 3, is a very sad pic. the others are good, others are grossly embarrassing!!!

Thanks all the same Ba L.T. for all your efforts.

  22. Ala fimo ku lolesha fye u even know. And remember pa Zed we HEAR smells….Ati NDEUMFWA ifilenunka..lol

  23. Wow! Great pictures LT, many thanks.
Who said we had credit crunch? Zambians truly know how to enjoy life! I don’t see a frown on those faces.

  24. #5 is realy a bad remind of how unserious Zambia is with infrastructure. So some ka briefcase company connected to someone in govt or RDA or Tender Board with no machinery or competencies to do the works was given the mult Billion kwacha road project and advanced money to buy those picks and shovels. Two years latter, the road will be under construction again with more billions of kwacha. Meanwhile the president passes there and sees all that…..and poverty continues. Honestly when I see such things, my pride of being a Zambian just disappears!

  25. I miss me some T-Bone from thornpark. Had that almost every friday when i was still in Zed to kick off the weekend!

  26. Diversity in unity , creation the variety show of variety….# 68 check mat lab simulations about your thinking…. it is called computational Neuroscience

  27. PIc number #9, I think that guy is either a BA (Born Again) or one of those who liked doubling in boarding school. Why hide beer at that age

  28. LT why cant you find decent pictures of women. I do not know where your reporters go to get pictures of such women from but they give Zambia a bad name!

  29. #72 Zambie I disagree with you. We have seen descent pictures of Zambian women on LT. The women in Mansa were simply having a good time G-strings and all and they are dressed no worse that western women in similar situations. The sister in pic#17 was even wearing matching dungarees and shoes, very creative.

  30. LT, Give us positive images of women having a good time as well. Most social events here portray only the wannabes when even decent working girls do have nightouts for a great time. Or are you showing us that you cameraman can not afford decent clubbing with classy women?

  31. #53 Stripper hello! I share your opinnion re. Black Label. The first time I tasted it was the last time because it was just too bitter & rough in my mouth compared to Mosi, Castle & co.
#55 jazzie & #75 Nakabalika don’t blame LT for showing us these pictures. What you see is nothing compared to the Carnival in Rio or The Love Parade in Berlin.

  32. # 76 Nine Chale, I thought i was not tough enough, so I am glad to hear that even a man like you was not able to handle it. Instead of mosi and castle, i moved on to Savanna and tu wine. Now the girl in the unpopular G-something only dances holding on to her knees, just observed that.

    # 73, i think the green lipstick was supposed to be matching with the inside shirt…elo ba sister has huge legs!

  33. #65 , Ba NineChale, muli shani?. #75, Nakabalika, say it LOUD… I was actually thinking the same… Bushe Ba Camera man Ba L.T.. mentality yashani?? Bushe ni Ba STREET PROWLER???Just the other week they picked on twa Red fimo fimo, nomba ni tu G fimofimo. iliko bad idea mwee, especially on women. Show us to ma ba……mb.. fim fimo twa baume. I remember Martworld saying especially twa ma Barchelors maningi imisango…

  34. It is better to be happy for a moment and be burned up with beauty than to live a long time and be bored all the while. To dance is to be out of yourself. Larger, more beautiful, more powerful. And beer makes you feel the way you ought to feel without beer. What the use of working hard if you cant tossit up!.Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer.We all know that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.!

  35. Umwaice Coster Mwansa no wonder amonekela uwakolwa pa MUVI TV. When i last saw him on Muvi tv the boy loked like he had just been picked from a bar to do his programme. E veryone, it appaers is a drunk pa zed. Whats happening? I miss pa KAMUCHANGA, MAFKENI. Lets remind each other ba Mufulira. You are too quiet. Nimwe ba pente bonse nomba? KULI BATUBULU KU MANSA IYE!!! TWAFWA NA PIKI. MUTULE WEEEEE!!!!

  36. Ba LT are u telling us there are no real chics in Mansa suwa? Ma gelo pa zed nibosamba noti ifi so? Kwaliba a 30+ women looking like this? These are just guuza, ifililo wearing stone wash, ma canvas, polka dot tops and demin dungerees

  37. Picture 5 really makes me feel sad.Does it mean this company which has been contracted to the road has got road maintenance equipment? How long are those guys going to take just to do 1 km stretch. This is the reason road construction/maintenance of even 100m takes ages to finish in Zambia.Lets be serious in the manner we work. How do you bring in a contractor without equipment?Where are inspectors from ministry of works and supply?

  38. kansima plz, yayayayayaya! nakumbwa.zimba and phiri are real men..dish ya nsima.
Ka G fimofimo ah kaliko bad mwe olo ni chigigi kaya!

  39. i don’t know if this is the same cameraman that does the photos but it seems to me like he is a voyeur when it comes to females; from one ministers’ booty, to a netballers underwear and now this#17, #18, #19. its very repulsive to say the least.

  40. Thanks Lt for pic #2. Though it is a sad pic, at least you have given me an opportunity to see my Grandma Martha (The Lady with long natural hair). Been long Grand ma and I’m glad you are still strong in your efforts of helping out epileptic persons (my cousin inclusive)

  41. That’s thornpark matebeto bwana, you are making me sick when i see such type of food. That grezy is nice mabwana, no where to be found here in Timor Leste , i wish i can fly the some day toZed and back for the grazie.

  42. Pics 1, 3, 7, 9 and 10 – total invasion of privacy!
Pic 9 could make a very good advert though – Black Label Lager, Great Taste You Don’t Wanna Share!
